Visiting the Lakes for a Long weekend staying in Whitehaven. We arrived about 4pm and saw a delivery being made so walked in and asked for a 6.30pm reservation. Many places would say they are closed but they took our booking. Luckily we did make the reservation as when we arrived it was almost full and we were welcomed like regular guests. The service was great despite how busy it was, the food delicious and portions generous. We did think slightly pricey, but considering the portion size not overly.

I wish I can give 0 or negative ratings. The food was horrible. I ordered daal and it was smelling like some rotten meat. When told staff, he mentioned it is because of coriander! Which was definitely not the case!!! Never recommend it to anyone.

Starter of onion bhaji was a little bland but the main of Tika masala was tasty and the service was good.

Absolutely fab baby!!Best curry ive had in ages, and i usually have my pick of the best in Leeds or Bradford! which are renouned as generally pretty good t say the least.Excellent service, reasonably priced, but the best bit is the food, its bloody lovely from the poppadoms and pickle tray, through the starters - i had a chicken tikka, to the mains - Chicken Jalfreizi, Pillau rice and a Peshwari Naan, beer pricess fine, and i was given a complimentary Peshwari naan to go with my " Doggy bag" as the portions where magnificentYou wont be dissapointed!!
Good value Indian food with friendly service and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit and in a good area. . Recommend the sizzling mixed grill and be aware the servings are generous.
