Probably the best pub meal we've ever had. We had a Sunday roast (a big portion, fresh, comes with a salad of boiled veggies and potatoes/mash) and a steak pie (absolutely delicious and humongous). Sticky toffee was weirdly spongy, but it come with the best toffee ever. I'd recommend reserving a table- we got the last one available.

Very tasty breakfast. Some of the best sausages I had with a full English. Big chunky toast. However, the "large breakfast" only comes with 1 egg?? Crazy!

This is an eatery where the usual blend of light spiced dishes are on offer. Nothing like this gem in the entire northern region culture of curry culture restaurants. This is an extraordinary Indian

What a hidden gem. A warm and welcoming B&B a 15 min stroll to the harbour. Very comfortable, well heated spotlessly clean bedroom with a decent hot shower. So peaceful. A lovely breakfast served to order with 5 star ingredients. This was an overnight business stop but we would certainly love to return.

Went for a Christmas Eve meal with the family. Good pub food and plenty of it. Service was good but unfortunately one meal was forgotten and was eventually brought after some of us finished. They took the cost of it off the bill .

Wonderful lady who very kindly went above and beyond after an awful experience we had over the road (the wittington cat AVOID!) After hearing our story she stayed open so that we could finally eat as one of our party was diabetic. The food was fantastic, the staff were attentive and friendly, the service was fast and the decor was stylish and modern. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thankyou.

Held a hen party at the Yellow Earl on Saturday. They accommodated all my requests from buffet order, outside entertainment & Prosecco for arrival drinks. The bar staff went above and beyond helping to setup when we initially arrived, they even provided table service throughout the afternoon. The buffet was excellent & was more than enough to cater for all the guests. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was a truly brilliant evening. I’d highly recommend.

We came to visit cleator moor in April for a birthday, we looked for places to eat and we came across this and drove straight past it as we didn't think it looked very inviting from the outside... We have come back a few months later for a return visit and after doing our research decided to try it. We are so glad we did the food is absolutely beautiful, what a gorgeous hidden gem, we liked the food so much ( the sirloin is amazing) we have come back the next day to eat again before we venture home Sunday. Like I say first impressions from the outside aren't the best, but take the plunge and go in. The staff and the locals are lovely , warm, welcoming and will tell you all the hidden gems regarding walks, places to go. 10/10 from us all round Moral of the story don't judge a pub by its outside appearance. Would rather give our money to small local pubs with amazing food and atmosphere than any big chain pub. We have certainly found our go to pub when we come back to cleator moor.
