Just got back from Whitehaven,we called in here for fish and chips, absolutely delicious big chunks of cod and not greasy at all.Nothing in Cockermouth to touch

Greggs

For first time in ages and I mean ages I got 2 x Chicken and Bacon club baguettes for £3.15 each. I have to say they were amazing. I loved them both. Why it's taken me this long to buy them again beats me. I'll buy them each week now when I'm in town. Just awesome and staff were fantastic. I'm back as a Greggs customer.

Pizza Nova

We stayed in St Bees for a week and ended up ordering twice from Pizza Nova. Delivered within the estimated time shown on Just Eat and the food was hot and made to a very good standard. Always hit and miss ordering from a new takeaway especially in an area you're unfamiliar with but this was definitely a hit!

Anna's Bar & Kitchen

Great place on the harbour.Great food and cocktails ?Very good relaxing atmosphereThe staff gave 5 star service nothing was a problem to them and the food was outstanding ? ?????.

Ali Taj Takeaway

There are no good Indian takeaways in Whitehaven....Nice yes, but nothing anywhere near as good as cities.... Ali taj has always remained best... Mr norwab Ali is a legend. Always pleased to see me

this has to be the best food ive ever tasted tbf i love greggs and the pizza is godly fr warra restaurant. did catch cancer from the bean and cheese bake but either way it still tasted banging. bit overpriced but worth it nonetheless

Charcoal Grill Whitehaven

The folks here were super friendly, and cook some mean and tasty pizzas.Very reliable service too (we found other places nearby which stated they were open, weren't).Vegetarian options: Vegetarian, MargaritaKid-friendliness: Really friendly staff who enjoyed chatting with the kids.

Mrs pizza

Don’t usually order a pizza which doesn’t have a thin base option but very glad I did!!! The base was not overly thick and everything was done to a high quality. Would like to see a thin base option but other than that excellent?

That Food Place

OK. So this is my kids' roast beef lunch from That Food Place. So. Along with my provision of horseradish sauce, there was an ample mountain range of roast beef - many, many slices - a Yorkie (homemade to get your chops around sufficiently), some roasters (also from the larder and oven of the premises), some funky ribbons of savoy cabbage - when did you last see that except for when it was on your plate and you didn't want to eat it when you were nine? - some tasty mashed swede and turnip - a turn-up for the books and one under normal circumstances I would have preferred left unopened but in this instance quite surprisingly fresh, novel and tasty - the winter roots playing a a nice, seasonal, hearty part - and some nice, not cloud-fluffy, mash you could get your incisors underway with.I also had a nice brown carton of mini choc doughnuts which I have to say was disappointingly half-ful, dry and I thought over-priced but nothing that another helping of the 'nuts and some thick whipped cream wouldn't sort out. Nice going, That Food Place, and I'm sketched in for the full Xmas menu if I have to stagger it over a few days.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this place, no where to add any blank stars. The staff are excellent, the food is great and they always get my order correct. Never had a problem with this place.

Marmaris Takeaway

Guys I can tell you , this is the best kebab in uk for 7 years. I studied aboard in St bees school from 2012 to 2016, after it i move to other city of uk. Now i hv back to my own country and i still fking miss it !!!!!!!!! So many good memories with their kebab !!!!!!!!!

The Howgate Brewers Fayre

Smothered Platter as an evening meal on 1st Feb., food was cooked to perfection and was extremely tasty; value for money and highly recommended. The Staff, as always, were very friendly and made you feel very welcome; what more could you ask for!

Costa Coffee

Absolutely fantastic service, so helpful and friendly. I asked for 5 drinks to take out and had my 3 year old grand daughter with me, so between us, we came up with ideas to make my walk back to the park a lot easier.

The Whittington Cat

The food is always good and good value in my opinion, and the staff are always pleasant, but on our past 2 visits we've waited between 45 minutes to over an hour from ordering to be served. One member of our party ended up having to take his meal to work with him in a carry out box the wait was so long. We were not told that there would be a wait due to the high number of deliveries being prepared, it was only when we asked we were told. Come on guys, you can do better.

Ordered delivery past 10pm, food arrived quickly and very warm. delivery driver was lovely and fast. chicken bites are very tasty and arrived lovely and warm. wedges were seasoned perfectly, and were really really delicious. couldn’t have asked for a better takeaway!

New Hongkong

I've had several meals delivered from the above. The food is authentic and delicious. Always delivered hot by very friendly drivers. I firmly recommend this excellent Chinese takeaway!!

Georgian House Hotel

What a great little place, hidden in the back streets of Whitehaven, this little Gem is worth a look if your after a stay. Food is outstanding as well. Lee and Steph are great hostsRooms: Individual boutique rooms, no two are the same.

The Corner House Bed and Breakfast

What a hidden gem. A warm and welcoming B&B a 15 min stroll to the harbour. Very comfortable, well heated spotlessly clean bedroom with a decent hot shower. So peaceful. A lovely breakfast served to order with 5 star ingredients. This was an overnight business stop but we would certainly love to return.

Ordered food for take out . Was ready in 20 mins . Food was piping hot , truly delicious gave atmosphere 5 stars but we were in and out in five mins . staff were great and service was spot on . We had the mixed starter for two . Special chow mein , special curry and the 1/4 duck . If you’re getting a Chinese meal in Whitehaven get it from oriental garden . 5 stars , A + .Shaun and Carol

We popped in, inspired by the daily scone, and we were not disappointed. The staff are amazing, doing their best to make sure that you enjoy your meal and greeting you with a smile. Taste Café

Very tasty breakfast. Some of the best sausages I had with a full English. Big chunky toast.However, the "large breakfast" only comes with 1 egg?? Crazy!

My first ever visit to Cross’s cafe.What a very nice place to be.Nice food, nice staff, great service and really lovely coffee. I’ll be visiting a lot more, in the future. A hidden Gem.

Whitehaven R.U.F.C

Great club house that can be hired for prvate functions. Drinks are reasonably priced. You can bring in your own catering for events if needed.The club is home to the Whitehaven RUFC teams and youth teams (Sharks) who play and train regularly on the pitches outside.

Rooftop Cafe

I used to regularly visit Dixons Rooftop Cafe when I was younger and decided to go back after several years. Pleased to say the meals are of a decent standard, the prices are fair( most meals costing £9-12) and you can still eat outside if the weather is nice. Service is good, the staff seem to know the regulars and the tables are cleaned regularly, with hand sanitiser on the entrance and exit to the cafe. Although it was out of order when I visited Dixons, there is a lift. Note, Dixons Rooftop Cafe doesnt' offer table service, you need to get a table number and order at the till, which can lead to long queues if the cafe is busy. Otherwise nice to see the standards have been maintained over the years and the cafe is still popular

Nice small fish and chip restaurant and takeaway, tucked away on road running behind the promenade around the harbours in Whitehaven. Food was nice...I had scampi chips and mushy peas, partner had chicken nuggets chips and curry sauce. Friendly service, small but pleasant seating area.

The Bransty Arch - JD Wetherspoon

We visited the town on a Sunday so we popped in to get some dinner/lunch. Great food fast delivery and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant was clean and warm.

McDonald's

It was okay, The only issue I had was a member of staff coming up to me, I had my headphones in and didn't see him until he was walking off then I took out a headphone and heard him saying to a manager "I've told him" but I've no idea what I was told.Vegetarian options: McPlant, veg deluxe, veg dippers or fries
