Been here a few times now for coffee and cake and each time, both have been yummy. My favourite so far is lemon and blueberry, delicious ?

Wonky pictures, sparse walls, no relaxing back ground tunes. Over charged after working out the costs later than day (you can add the difference you've made to your Tip Jar). Probably avoid sitting in the tub chairs, unless you plan to eat off your knees or sit Criss crossed legged.Update: do read my comments correctly, as these are observations as a visitor and I had given crofton Hall a 4 star ⭐ and surely a 4 star wouldn't adhere to what you say 'upmost damage' really petty and certainly now wouldn't recommend with your choicesParking: Bottom of hill, along a concrete foot walk wayWheelchair accessibility: Parking for you is a lovely court yard covered in stone pebbles, probably fit off road wheels to get across

The food was very disappointing. The steak "luxury sandwich" had more mustard than steak in it! We won't be going back.

Lovely lunch here today. Food was great...but very large portions! I hate leaving good food!

I ordered Falafel and Hummus in a sandwich. Unfortunately it was quite dry and a bit salty. My friend had an Avocado, Mozarella and Sundried Tomato Panini. We were asked if we wanted to share a portion of chips and we agreed. These were presented in a small mug and were very greasy, limp and dark (old potatoes and old cooking oil I think). Not what we expected at all. The cafe was in nice surroundings and the staff were very friendly and pleasant. Not sure I'll be dashing back though.

First visit to this venue. Staff were very personable. Food was excellent. Sometimes the basic things make a difference such as the food being piping hot and a decent pot of strong tea. Everything was done right. Special thanks to the two ladies who looked after us. Great personalities.
I took my family for lunch today (16/12/23) I am a coeliac so I was happy to see on their website they have GF choices. The owner and staff were great and I was spoiled for GF choices. Food was excellent and well presented. I recommend for Coeliac’s and muggles (sorry Harry Potter joke)Fiona CurwenDietary restrictions: As a coeliac I have to feel safe. My first question is always “do you have GF menu” i watch for reaction and if staff look unsure I will often not eat or even leave, it is important to feel safe and I did today, thank youKid-friendliness: My grandson is 2 so waitress asked if we wanted his food first, this was a great idea.

The best meal we’ve been served in a long while. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. From the moment we came through the door we were treated really well. The food was beautifully presented and of a high standard. I did take a photo but had already eaten some of the food before doing so which meant my photo couldn’t do it justice. We will definitely return. It has to be one of the best places to eat in Cumbria.
