We live locally and decided to book a table for new years eve. So we could walk the mile and half each way. Started as a table of 4 and ended up as 9 as family decided to join us. We offered to prebook as there was 9 of us. We arrived half an hour early for drinks before dinner. The table was set ready for us. The food came out red hot and plenty of it. All the food was ready at the same time and noone was left waiting. 9 clean plates. Great choice of puddings and the table finished off 7 between us. Definitely recommend. Very friendly couple and lovely environment.

What a hidden gem! The food was amazing & reasonably priced given that the portion sizes are massive. Coco the dog & I were made to feel really welcome & I would definately recommend this pub to anyone staying in the area. Well done team, you're all amazing.

Lovely homely pub, great staff so friendly and helpful and friendly locals too.Had a lovely meal and a couple of drinks, so relaxing. Got a back room for the visitors just wanting to watch the sports.

Cosy place, staff very attentive. The food was good too, what you would expect from a country pub.Bit of noise coming from the pub as people watching football, but Saturday night, so expected tbh. It's always a plus point that we can bring the doggo. She's generally quite anxious around new people but felt at ease due to how friendly an atmosphere the place has.?

Lovely warm welcome and really attentive and pleasant service. Food was lovely but the twice fried chips were probably the best I've ever had. The rib eye steak was very thin and I didn't think they'd possibly have been able to cook it rare but they did! Very impressed. Lovely little village pub that's well worth visiting!

We stayed at nearby Greengill for the week and made this our local. Had a drink most nights (owner remembered our order by 2nd night!) . Very friendly. Joined the locals watching the match on sky, a bingo night and also ate there. Food and drink were superb and very good value. They only serve on certain nights due to cost of living crisis. If you are in the area go support it.

Only us in the pub, locals should support local businesses. Too many food tables, very small area for lounging in. Shame not to see the community using what would have been the hub at one point.

Went on a whim but we were not disappointed. The food was great and reasonably priced. The owner his wife and staff were very friendly and helpful.Pubs like this need to be treasured or else they’ll disappear. If we are this way again this pub will definitely be visited

I was very impressed with this great local pub. I had the pleasure of dining there and I was not disappointed. Not overly complicated food which is amazing and very very tasty. Smashing selection of ales too which is a bonus. Thank you guys, I will be returning ????
