I didn't eat at the Tam 'o' Shanter; it was a quick visit but long enough to be made to feel very welcome. There was the beginning of some great banter; Mine Host was very kind & helpful. Sincere thanks. Thoroughly recommended.

Was there on Monday 19th Sept at a wake and found it to be a lovely friendly homely pub very clean and lovely staff looking forward to paying another visit soon to have a meal there.Well done for the lovely buffet you put on it was beautiful.

Nice building well done out inside, with an open fire and a warm greeting from the landlady (who was lovely to us). Selection of beers was very limited, with Belhaven Best being the only different one from the standard lagers & bitter.

A friendly drink with a right good fire to warm you, what more do you need?

We had a lovely warm welcome upon arrival. Ordered food off the menu which we were told changes weekly. We ordered the fish and chips and lasagna. Both of us were very happy with our meals - especially the home made chips. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have already decided the next few times we will be visiting again.Worth noting they only do food Friday 5-8 on a Friday and 12-3 Sunday. We were also advised they fill up quickly and it's best to book.Cannot recommend enough!

We went on the Friday, the night before was the 'great egging'! We had a top night, you know it's fresh when the chef comes to the bar with a bowl to beer your batter! She also swapped the salad for mushy peas, doesn't get any better, my wife had the bacon chops, there was just enough to take some home for the dog. Great food good beer and top crack. Thanks
