We had a wonderful stay at the Applegarth hotel! The staff were lovely and very helpful to any queries we had. The room was fantastic and very spacious and particularly loved the bath it was huge!!! Breakfast was nice they had a good selection. The hotel is walking distance from the lake only about a mile down the road with a great choice of bars and restaurants around if you didn’t fancy eating at the hotel! All in all we had a brilliant experience and would highly recommend!

Applegarth Villa is an amazing, beautiful hotel. We had lovely time. Friendly staffs, the room are stunning, the bed so... Comfortable and clean. The bar is lovely place and very well decorated. We have a lovely views from the room. The food at the restaurant was so good, I can't wait to get back next year. The hotel is nearby the town centre. And to drive over countryside the view is so beautiful. Very highly recommend it. Thanks you so much for everyone make my holiday so special. Me and my husband visited Applegarth over the weekend in December, when it unexpectedly snowed enough to block roads, cut electricity in Cumbria, bring the Windermere town to a standstill. With everything that could go wrong, my stay at Applegarth was as comfortable as anyone could expect on any random day. Alan and Susan, the very warm hotel owners who run the place by themselves, made sure everything was perfect and smooth. They even allowed us to have delayed check outs since our departure trains were cancelled. The property is beautiful and seems recently renovated. The cleanliness was unmatched. They even run three nights for two, over from their website which was a cherry on the cake. Definitely coming back, highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing break, in a warm casual setting.

Just spent a long weekend with my husband for my 70th birthday. A lovely surprise awaited me from the management and staff, a beautiful arrangement of flowers in a box and a card. The hotel offers a warm and friendly atmosphere. The food is all localy produced which is very important. The management and staff are very friendly and warm. Will stay here again.Rooms: The rooms are fitted with modern amenities. Warm and cosy.Nearby activities: Plenty of walks nearby also there is a regular bus service to Plenty of places.Walkability: Lots of walks nearbyFood & drinks: Food and drinks are excellent. Food is all local produce.

Hotel with a lot of character, great food and service. One star down on the room as the shower was weak and the riser bar missing a couple of endcaps, not really an issue but this is a 5* place. Would happily return especially for breakfast!Rooms: We had a double aspect room with a great view of the fells.

My partner booked Applegarth for my birthday as a suprise, I can't say enough how beautiful the suites are, the decor is so stylish & the balcony has a hot tub. The reception was brilliantly decorated for halloween, I absolutly love it & highly recommend.To the owner Alan, you are so kind, Thank you x
Just ok really! £300 for 1 night. Just a standard room really went to use the sauna tub as it said the room had when I booked. Was just a bath!!! No luxury as I expected .Didn't stay over night and came home dissapointed. Told a white lie said I had a emergency back home:-(.

Perfect Minimoon!We recently enjoyed our Minimoon in August at Applegarth Villa & Restaurant. We booked three days in the Devoke suite.Absolutely amazing please, and we are so glad we chose it.Fantastic location, great food from the hotel it's and plenty of places to eat and drink in the local area.There's a great craft pub over the road called the Crafty Baa which was very convenient.Breakfast was amazing.Exceptionally friendly staff. It's family ran and you can really tell. They care about absolutely everything, and nothing is too much trouble.We are looking forward to heading back for our anniversary.Thank you Applegarth Villa!
