We ordered vegan burritos and it was delicious. A must-try place for anyone looking for a good restaurant in Windermere. Check their timings as it varies for the day of the week. They are open in the afternoons and close early evenings. Sundays are closed.

10/10 food, perfect for a fancier date night. Delicious food cooked to a very high standard, all tested very fresh and high quality. The service was a little slow (due to one server and one chef catering for the whole restaurant), but lovely vibes and extremely lovely staff so can’t really complain about the wait. Bathroom also very clean which is always a plus!

We have just had a great last night of our holiday in the Lakes. Thanks Rastelli's for a great experience, best pasta dish in a long while. 3 courses, beer & wine, friendly and helpful staff. Good specials board, very tempting but we stuck to the main menu, all 3 courses were very tasty. Busy restaurant but we did not feel rushed. Would recommend.

One of the best dinners ever. We sat at the chef’s table and it was a great experience talking to the chefs and getting their recommendations - amazing vibe. Best egg fried rice of my life, really good pak-choi and Korean chicken, and I would give a million stars as well to the mango magnum. Cocktails were outstanding too. Thanks team for giving us such a memorable dinner!

Lovely hotel, lovely rooms. Ate in the Source, the Michelin restaurant. Amazing food but atmosphere and decor wasn't amazing. Had music playing such as Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, Fleetwood Mac. Although I enjoy that music, it sounded like a radio station and didn't fit the required ambience. No tablecloths, very stripped back.Breakfast was also very nice. Nicer ambience than in the evening meal area.Also, we were there for 10th wedding anniversary. Lacked any real personal touch. Even had a birthday card from the hotel in our room for someone else, but nothing for us.That said, we enjoyed it.

Great service, great atmosphere and one of the best veggie breakfasts we’ve ever had. We couldn’t recommend this cafe/restaurant highly enough. We had booked a table for breakfast as part of a weekend away and as usual when you don’t know an area you wonder if you have made the right choice. Well there wasn’t any problems there! The team here offer a casual, friendly service. The food was cooked to perfection, with the best baked beans we’ve had in a cafe. Our only regret was that we couldn’t get the chance to visit again on this trip. Next time!!

We were a party of 10 celebrating a 50th birthday, all our meals were wonderful from the starters to the desserts, lovely presentation too. All the staff were quick and efficient and really friendly. Spent my birthday here while exploring the Lake District. The staff we're extremely friendly, making us feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door. We had food and plenty of drinks and everything was top notch. The staff also spent time playing with my dog and giving her treats. Overall it was just a lovely experience.

We told him what we fancied and were probably a bit annoying but he made us the most PERFECT cocktails and explained everything that they had done to make it. Dingdong the witch is dead. And so is your hunger. The sausage roll meal deal for sausage rolls for the price of three is exceptional value for money. As you enter the premises, the smell of perfectly cooked pastries, Wafd and dance up your nostrils. The coffee is tease, hot drinks cakes, another sweet sundries are all on display for you to see in neat glass cabinets. I would recommend the quality breakfast meal deal where you can get a hot drink and a warm breakfast roll or a personal highlight. Overall a very good dining experience on a budget. Will visit again. Steak bake.

I had the most amazing time at the restaurant at The Old England. The food was divine, We all had different steaks and they were all juicy and perfectly cooked. Amazing chunky chips that stayed hot throughout and the crispiest onion rings. Exquisite. I have to give a special mention to our host Emily who couldn't do enough for us to make us feel welcomed and comfortable and also to the barman, Tommy, who had to keep up with our drinks orders and was very attentive. Our compliments certainly go out to the chefs. And the fact it is only £30 for 3 courses or you get the choice of going a la carte is just good value.

Came here for brunch and had the overnight oats and a chai latte for only £5.95, and a large selection of toppings. My boyfriend had the broccoli and Stilton cheddar - both were delicious. Staff are really friendly and it’s a perfect spot to sit for a long time and play board games. We’ll be back!

We’ve really liked the building and the location so we had a look. We ended up getting the Mexican board with a white mocha and a pint of Pepsi.The white mocha was very nice on its own. It reminded me of what I used to drink at college. I highly recommend it if you haven’t tried it and like sweet drinks. The Mexican board had very good tacos ? and nicely seasoned corn ?The price was about right for the food and for the location.The only letdown for me were nachos. I think the cook must have accidentally put the avocado pot with the avocado flesh into the guacamole & personally, I prefer cheese sauce in nachos instead of just melted cheese. That’s more of a preference though. My partner had thoroughly enjoyed it though.?There were also verrry few vegan/vegetarian options

We called here yesterday after not having much of a plan.We had my little dog with me and weren't turned away, just informed that due to them having an open kitchen they cannot allow dogs in the building, which is perfectly acceptable.The staff were super friendly and definitely contributed to the overall experience.We ordered two pizzas, I knew what to expect from a ristorante/pizzeria, I grew up around Italians and had a lot of authentic Italian food and have been to eateries they know well. This food lived up to expectations and maybe overwhelmed my girlfriend a little as she wasn't prepared for the difference between pizza and real pizza.But yes the price was exceptionally good value for money and the whole experience was spot on.I wished I'd tried some pasta from here too as I'm sure it would have been delicious. I caught a glimpse of some being cooked when I went through to use the restroom as well as someone else's order that passed.

We visited a copy of Weeks ago, during a Staycation in the Area.The Shop is located just outside of the main Shopping Area, but this didn't deter Customers, and it was busy. It's not the biggest Interior, so the queue did stretch outside of the Shop (but this is to be expected of a popular Shop in a Tourist Area, and wasn't an issue).Couldn't fault the Customer Service. Both individuals behind the Counter were really polite, friendly, and welcoming.Fantastic Selection of Ice Cream Flavours ( I had a Double Cone of Rum 'n Raisin/Cookie Dough, My Wife had a Double Cone of Cinder Toffee/Salted Caramel, Our Daughter had a Tub of Bubblegum Flavour, and our Son had a Single Cone of Vanilla). Absolutely delicious.Highly recommended, and we'll see you again, soon.

Superb and remarkable hotel in Windermere! I felt grateful to the host, Garreth, who voluntarily proposed to arrange me another room at first floor instead of the second floor one due to my disability. It was so kind of him taking care of me all the time. After I fell down on the chair, he moved an armed sofa to the dining room and borrowed an armed chair from his neighbor. Cannot thank him enough.Due to Garreth and the Ivy Bank Guest House, I experienced a traditional British style life during my stay. Garreth also introduced several nice places and activities to go in the Lake district.I feel fortunate that I stayed in the Ivy Bank Guest House and met Garreth, which made this journey memorable and pleasant.

We had an afternoon tea at Cedar Manor. Unfortunately for us we did not quite anticipate that afternoon tea offered here is more of a slow type where you first get starter soup, then starter, then sandwitches etc. Meaning it takes some time to enjoy this afternoon tea set whereas we only had an hour... But that is on us and the afternoon tea itself + service was really great. Foods were nicely thought out and I got the best fish & chips (starter) I have ever enjoyed in Britain. Staff were also nice when we had to inform them that we really need to leave and gave us a package to go with foods we didn't manage to finish.So all in all, just reserve some time to enjoy afternoon tea at Cedar Manor, like 1,5 hours minimum, maybe even 2 hours. Definitely worth it, I would say.

We absolutely love this hotel. We have been going back every year for quite a few years.The hotel is in a fantastic location no need to use a car. You can walk,catch bus or the train station is just at the top of the hill.The hotel rooms are all beautifully decorated to a very high standard and detail.The restaurant and bar has a very relaxing atmosphere.The food menu is great and the food is exceptional. We always eat in the restaurant as we know we are getting lovely food.The bar has a great variety of drinks including cocktails which we always try.The staff are all lovely, polite and very friendly nothing is too much bother.I always recommend Applegarth to family and friends and when they have been they always say how nice it is.I wouldn't go anywhere else in The Lakes.Rooms: Very high standard of decorationFood & drinks: Beautifully presented and gorgeous

My husband and I were on the hunt for a delicious brunch spot while we were visiting Windermere. After reading the reviews and smelling the delicious aroma of good coffee as we read the menu outside we thought that we would try Homegrown Coffee + Kitchen. I am vegetarian and he is vegan and we both found brunch options which we were happy with. I had avo toast with a side order of poached eggs and he had the aubergine dish with a side of hash browns. They were absolutely delicious and presented so beautifully! Generous portion sizes and the hash browns were SO good. The coffee was also yummy and well presented. 10/10 definitely recommend trying it for yourself :)

Excellent New Years Eve night.What can I say ?We were a party of 7 on the 3rd sitting of the night. The food was amazing. We tried a dozen or more of the fantastic dishes on the menu, and everyone was delicious.We were recommended a beautiful Rioja from the bar manager, which was one of the best I've tried in a long time.The service was exceptional, from the staff and owners of this great little restaurant in Windermere.And after we all wished the New Year in, the owners put on some music to which we all got up and had a great dance to finish the night off.So a big Thank you to Andrew and the staff of Tapios for making such a memorable night.Paul and family. We can honestly say this is the best Italian restaurant we have ever been to ( and we've been to a lot ). The food was delicious, best lasagne I have ever tasted, the ambience and restaurant setting was amazing and staff fabulous. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Windermere, advice would be to book ahead of your trip, we were told by the staff in the restaurant to book about 10 days in advance , especially at weekends ?
