The manager was very rude and insulting. He made an offensive remark and we did not appreciate it.

Perfect place to sit out and enjoy the spring sunshine. Disappointed the downstairs bar wasn't open so had to carry drinks down staircase.

So as a local turn up for a pint with a friend to be served by a rude member of staff call Alex after getting me to prove I was local as requested discount it went that far for me to log in my south lake housing online account to prove I'm local to them mug me off and embarrassing me Infront of others I will not return

Called here after a walk, on Monday 18th March 2024, where we had arrived in Bowness from the ferry and were waiting for the bus back to Ambleside. We only had a pint but the food looked lovely, from pizzas to burgers. Staff were friendly and it was nice and clean. The beer was reasonable at £4.60 for Wainwright's bitter. I don't usually go to Bowness but I would go back here if it wasn't too crowded.

Definitely terrible experience. My friends went to order some drinks but were refused without ID. Then we sit there for no more than 10 minutes talking about whether to go back grabbing our ID. A long hair male table cleaning guy came and let us leave rudely saying “it’s not allowed to spending time here, you need to order”. There were at least half of tables empty and these waiters seems so hurry to drive everyone who’s not paying them immediately away, ignoring the fact that we tried to order a bunch of drinks minutes ago. Doubting if they really know what service means

We visited with children for lunch, we were told there was an hours wait which is fine then ordered drinks went back to order food to be told we “cannot order as the kitchen are too busy”Thanks for that

Awful meal which cost £50 for 2 with a tea and juice.Fish and chips - fish was hard and batter burnt to a crisp! Mushy peas dry and inedible.Only good thing was the view of the lake!! Totally ruined the end of a lovely day out.
