Great service, great atmosphere and one of the best veggie breakfasts we’ve ever had. We couldn’t recommend this cafe/restaurant highly enough. We had booked a table for breakfast as part of a weekend away and as usual when you don’t know an area you wonder if you have made the right choice. Well there wasn’t any problems there! The team here offer a casual, friendly service. The food was cooked to perfection, with the best baked beans we’ve had in a cafe. Our only regret was that we couldn’t get the chance to visit again on this trip. Next time!!

A small cafe which managed to accommodate nine of us including our mum with her walker and two dogs with a few steps to their downstairs room. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Menu was limited as we only wanted a snack as we had a meal booked later in the afternoon but some of us enjoyed pancakes and the men shared paninis and chips. All satisfied and able to last another few hours.

Perfectly presented restaurant that has a brilliant theme and atmosphere. The food was spectacular and fairly priced! The menu wasn’t overly complicated and had a great selection of food, drink and deserts to meet most desires. The service was brilliant and very polite and non interruptive. Can’t wait to visit the Lake District and dine here again!Parking: Parking is available on street and a car park opposite the restaurant.

The begin with the sign outside says 9am, but in actual act it opens at 9:30am...A swift walk around the town and back again! As soon as we sat down it the waitress came over and ordered our drink and food. And in a very short turn around both were delivered. The food tasting amazing, definitely recommend it!We both had full English with extra hashbrowns and both left very satisfied! The only thing that could be improved is to add different options for milk as they only offer whole. And for atmosphere all we could hear was a business meeting about finances and the manger being told to clean out the cellar and that would be his task for this week. All in all great food great place.

Generous portions, delicious moulds frites, ok wings, but above and beyond great service and cool cosy vibe. Thoroughly recommend.Parking: Short stay car park just opposite, free after 6pm

Unfortunately did not have a pleasant experience, unwelcoming and poor service, can not comment on the food, the coffee was good however very small for the price you pay. Was put off by the atmosphere between front of house staff and rudeness to other customers next to us. Do not offer vegan / dairy free options for food. Left feeling disappointed.

Lovely food, ruined by a frosty welcome, frosty service and then rudeness to other customers. It was bad when there were only 3 tables but got worse. Such a shame a good kitchen was ruined by the front of house staff member.

Really pleasant little place - great food - very clean - best brunch we found in Windermere! ?Vegetarian options: Often veggies are overlooked but the selection and the food itself was fantastic!

Really good quality food: well cooked and imaginative menus and flavour parings - served in an efficient and friendly manner. The Bowness branch was cosy, welcoming and had a really nice, relaxed vibe about it.We were a "walk-in" and had a lovely meal and the atmosphere was just right - a really enjoyable evening. We'd highly recommend a visit to UFH.

Rather slow service, food generally good, but very expensive for the type of restraunt, £137 for three 2 course meals, and a couple of lemonades.

Amazing food! Amazing service! Had the urban hash and full English both were fantastic. Would 100% recommend, can’t fault it
