Decor dated wallpaper Black and peeling drawers missing handles terrible staff happy to call the guests in the kitchen. It's just very smelly dirty and dates Should keep there voices down. Food was dreadful but that was for vegetarian meal got chastised off staff for not eating it the next day and no vegetarian meal on for lunch the next day

Cannot even give a star. Absolutely something out of 50s pre war. Needs domolishing. Bedrooms and bathrooms need a food clean. WILL DEFINITELY not recommend this hotel!!!! ?

My dad stayed the week at the hotel , and the room was unclean and the bar was selling cans of fosters from the shop down the road and charging him £2.50 for a can . This is ridiculous and just because they are closing down the hotel they think its acceptable to charge more than theActual price.

Thank you to the Cumberland Hotel for allowing us to hold one of our regular testing events there. They always give us a really warm welcome \\u0026 it’s always great to see when places are happy to help their local communities.\\nMany thanks to Anne for making it possible and thanks to Claire for being very helpful.

I’m staying here at the Cumberland hotel and the owners are lovely and so is the staff \\u0026 friendly people in to talk to or a friendly chat with the staff or owners who work amazingly well with everyone and my sleep is so much better now I’m inside here ? to me it’s the best hotel I’ve been in top marks ??❤️

We were never notified of a curfew and ended up being locked out in the rain and having to spend an extra £100 on taxis and a hotel for the night. I expect a full refund but unsure if one will be issued. I hope this review will help potential clients and hopefully decided on some where else to stay. Plus the decor is dated. Felt like walking into the 70s. Ceiling in the bathroom is mouldy.

My sister and I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely wee hotel on 20th September til the 23rd September, 2019 and a special thank you to Claire who couldn't do enough for us..The food was delicious and the beds were so very comfortable. I recommend this hotel very highly and hope to go back in the near future...Margaret Smyth and Norma Mooney .

The staff are very friendly and looked after us well. The food was good and rooms were clean. Anyone who says the hotel is dated, get a grip you get what you pay for. All areas were tidy and clean.

Worst hotel ive stayed in, and i stay in a different one every week with work. Waiting outside to be let in 2 times in four days. Place is stuck in the 60's. Expensive for what is on offer. Shower was poor and genrally dirty in the room!

Exterior does not look good and the interior is dated and in need of an update. Food and service were good and helped make the hotel acceptable

Food good. Reception, dining room, and lounges good. Bedroom and bathroom very moderate, no handrail on the bath and no grab rails to get out of the bath and shower. Cleaning only moderate.on arrival we were told the lift was out of order. The management opened a door for us to go up the shortest staircase which we managed with difficulty. The next day the door was locked, we went to the reception and asked if it could be unlocked, the man on the reception very rudely said it could not be unlocked as there was no one on the premises who knew the combination and he then went away. By this time another member of staff came, asked what the problem was and went and fetched the owner who came and apologised and unlocked it
