Was just wandering around and nipped in for fish and chips as it was cold service was good all cooked fresh ?

We originally planned to go to a pub for tea but spotted this little hidden restaurant as we passed by and changed our mind! Really fast service for a reasonable price, felt like we were by the seaside even this far in land. It was also really nice to be able to sit inside while we ate without a long wait for a table. A definite recommendation for a quick bite or a full meal!

A consistently good chip shop. The fish is nice but order cod if you want to avoid skin on.Little cafe restaurant which is pleasant.Recommended.Parking: Parking is pay other than four street parking spots opposite. However chip shop users tend to chance a ticket especially at night. Not surprising as minimum period is an hour at £1.50.

What a treat. We had fish chips and peas today in the cafe. Every element of the meal was perfectly cooked and served on ceramic plate with proper cutlery. A very friendly service in a comfortable and clean environment. We will be back.

Just passing through Ashbourne with there lovely Christmas lights and decided to stop off athe chip shop we ate in 3 pies chips peas & gravy ,1 fish chips peas teas & coffees everything was pipping hot and good service will definalty go

Don’t come here often but when I do, the staff are always friendly and the food is top notch! Fresh fish was beautiful and the chips were crispy and fluffy, just the way they should be.

Hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had. The haddock was amazing and so fresh. Very reasonable prices considering the current economy. The service was excellent and I even met the main man Alex. As a field service engineer I have sampled fish and chips from all over the UK and I can say with utmost confidence this is the best ? Can't wait to be back.
