Such a shame. We had visited Prestons frequently for coffees and cakes.Our son who is 2 we bring our own biscuits / food as he has food aversion and is Autistic. The usual staff are friendly but On the last trip we were told by a man who we believe is the son of the owners that ‘no food was allowed’ . We explained that we came most days and ordered ours but as a 2 year old autistic child he had his own. We were told this was ok “on this occasion” but not again… as such we will go to Bear where not only are they ok with this but give our son crayons and a colouring sheet… pretty silly to not see the bigger business picture.By reading other reviews apparently the owner seems to be very rude. Won’t go there again. They’ve lost such loyalty customers such as us!

My first time in this place today but definitely somewhere I will return to. Beautiful decor, spacious yet so cosy, very friendly and helpful staff and owner, great coffee and cakes. Loved the place.

Firstly, a very airy, New York Loft style, furnished coffee house which is absolutely wonderful to sit and chill at regardless! Fabulously decorated, spacious, flooded with natural light and an environment to visit for sure, either for a visit alone, with someone, or as a group (regardless of age). The best coffee!! Yep! and a wonderful choice of cakes. They also sell freshly made soups, with bread and a very delicious button of farm butter, very yummy. Whatever the reason your visit is for, be sure to visit their interiors shop next door but one!! OMG!!! you will definitely not resist a purchase!! I will most definitely be visiting again, ………real soon. BTW..the staff are SO LOVELY… and please note, they have great outdoor seating area at the rear of the property (looking forward to enjoying that space in the summer). A salute to the owners of this establishment…. I LOVE IT

We were in Derbyshire last week and discovered Prestons quite by chance. As we enjoyed it so much, we went twice in our short stay! Great coffee and pastries and some unusual ones and excellent staff. Loved the decor and the bonus of its own furniture and gift store next door, helped make this a great venue. If you're in the area, it's well worth a detour to visit this place. We'll be back!

Easy parking outside. Polite and efficient staff. Plenty of vegan cake options and the ladies doubled checked to make sure even though I said I didn’t have any allergies just a choice. Picked carrot cake and a matcha latte with almond milk both were great ! Lovely large clean toilets aswell!

Much better elsewhere Ordered the Vegetable Soup, when it arrived it was Heinz Vegetable Soup slightly whizzed up with some herbs. I know this because I eat this soup most days.
