Went yesterday, I had fish chips, garden peas, the fish was huge, and tested just like it had been caught that morning. My friend had loaded fries, and the other had chilli con carne. Absolutely delicious ?, will be going back, compliments to the chef, cracking job.

Bartender was so incredibly rude. He clearly has anger issues with females.

Called in for a bite to eat on Wednesday, the service was fantastic, very friendly and attentive staff, the food we had was lovely and beautifully presented we will definitely be calling again. I would very much recommend a visit.

Fantastic country pub, excellent service (dogs welcome and they have an option on the menu), specials board was different from normal pub grub (although that is available as well), good choice of beers, lagers and cider, would DEFINITELY think of going again.

Proper welcoming pub with proper food. Outdoor seating on market square and at back.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Food bit basic and pub pretty old fashioned and needs updating. Looks tired and outdated. Good position on main square.

Compliments to the chef who made ravioli lobster with plenty of bisque sauce....excellent...well worth the money at £16 for a main. Partner had home made pie and veg and also excellent. Staff friendly and great service. Thank

Rude staff. The obnoxious land lady referred to myself and my wife as ‘guys’. Told we couldn’t sit at the table we had chosen because it was reserved. No reserved sign. Left telling her that I felt she had been rude and said please come again. In an automated way. Took her a few seconds to realise I was been critical of her service!

Extremely warm welcome on a cold day, very nice to have a log fire. Food was tasty and good service too.

What a lovely pub. Friendly and helpful staff. Food is excellent, lots of choice even for vegetarians. Dogs welcome. I haven't given a rating for the rooms as did not stay overnight but if in keeping with the pub the rooms are probably 5 star too.

Food pre-ordered for 2pm, didnt start to serve us until 3pm and took 20 minutes to bring veg out after sunday roasts were handed out. Terrible service on restaurant side. Bar staff lovely and friendly. Food not great. Waitress staff rude and inexperienced. Would go back for drinks as it is a lovely pub but would not recommend eating here.

Cozy old pub with charm. Not a lot to choose from of the menu. My partner had traditional fish chips which were hudge. I stuck to a childrens fish and chips. Unfortunately the fish was over done.. i did complain. The manager was understanding.. and gave me a refund. Hence i did not eat any of it.. but my partner enjoyed his. With a little help from meNearby activities: Lovely town to visit.
