Food & drinks: We went as a family to dovedale and ilam to do the walk there to Thorpe cloud and the stepping stones and booked this place to have something to eat and drink after. This is a hidden gem with breathtaking views. Great service and hospitality and we even managed to chat with the owner and indian chef who was really nice. The food selection and quality was loveky especially with the Indian twist and a great selection of beers and drinks too. Will definitely come back when we go and do the walks near there again.

Came last night with Alison "your first takeaway customer" and enjoyed everything about your restaurant. From the welcome, the friendly service provided by your staff, the atmosphere created by yourselves and your guests made it a perfect setting to enjoy your tasty food. I will be back for sure when I next visit Ashbourne, you are a great place to keep in the address book! The restaurant is also fog friendly.Thank you to all your team for the great food, service and atmosphere in the Okeover Arms.

Lovely friendly pub. Dogs in particular are very welcome and get a bed to lie on while you eat/drink. Sunday lunch was very good too.

Great place with good food and dog friendly too. We have been many times before. We went yesterday to find the side seats have all been taken out and more dinning table crammed in. Not so comfortable if you have gone for a drink and looking for a nice soft chair to relax in.

Boxing Day teatime, disappointing menu either Lamb Curry on the Specials menu or a Brunch menu for 5pm. Difficult choice, didn,t want a breakfast type meal at 5pm or a curry. Didn,t enjoy the meal, thought I,d picked the best out of what was on offer, but made myself eat it. Shame for Boxing Day. Then saw other people eating from a menu we were not told about we could have had. Lovely pub and setting. Live in Ashbourne usually go The Old Dog but had a change.

Absolutely beautiful place, nothing not to like from the 2nd we checked in, we felt at home. Food amazing, accommodation amazing, staff were so friendly and chatty. Only thing we were upset about is we did not find this place sooner. Ps crazlely dog friendly ???????? with the most amazing walks in your door step. And breakfast to die for ❤️

Popped in for lunch. Nice place, big fire, warm and friendly. Host was particularly welcoming and went out of her way to look after us and our sausage dog pup Millie, despite her yapping. Most dog friendly pub we've ever been in. Food was excellent too. Fully recommend.
