“A really nice Pub that serves decent food, close by the Haddon Grove Farm Campsite.
We visited on Thursday evening, just about making the cut-off for food (8.30pm..?).
All the table inside were full, but there is lots off nice seating outside, either on Patio Area (at the side of the Pub) or round the back in the large Beer Garden ?
The Menu has a good selection of options, having ordered at the Bar, the food was brought out after only a short delay, which was very good ? The food was really nice, however I knocked 1 star off as it might taste great, but the presentation left a lot to be desired ? I had the Chicken Fillet in White Wine Sauce which just looked like it had been 'slopped' onto some 'random' Plate ?
Even with the small negative with the food, it's still well worth a visit ?”

“Trying to find a pub serving food mid afternoon was a struggle,The Crispin came through!
Had 2 cod and chips along with a massive burger. We sat in the small beer garden as we had our dogs with us this little oasis of calm was delightful with the various well cared for plants providing a peaceful place to sit and eat.
The food was amazing , I don’t usually like fish but this was cooked to perfection with light crispy batter. The chips with all the meals were chunky and fluffy.My husband burger was just as delicious with a good blend of flavours.
Our server was attentive and didn’t mind when our dog,maple, barked at her. We explained she’s a bit gobby and she was ok with it and maple made friends. (Maple is a rescue and can be standoffish with new people!).
If we come this way again we will be popping back :)”

“Had Sunday lunch there today & it was excellent. Booked for my mums birthday & they did not disappoint. We all ordered the lamb Sunday roast which they cooked to our own individual liking. The lamb was delicious as was the vegetables & potatoes it came with. We ordered a side of onion rings which were huge & a side dish of cauliflower cheese which was incredible. To celebrate my mums birthday they brought out a plate of chocolate brownies with Happy Birthday written in chocolate which was the finishing touch to a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend & we will most definitely be back.”

“Stopped in here last night as we were staying locally and fancied a bit to eat and a drink. The place is very clean and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The food was quick to arrive and extremely nice, (if you go for the cheesy garlic bread starter - Beware! It's huge!!)

It was also an open Mic night so we stayed and listened to a few acoustic songs from some very talented individuals.

“Lovely welcoming pub. Something slightly different in that It doesn't serve food, and has no games machines. But what it does have is a fantastic ambience , good selection of beers and ales , Staff who ooze Customer service and play fantastic music . It has to be my favourite Bakewell pub. Thoroughly recommend.”
