“We were holidaying in the area, and the hosts recommended Ambergate Chip Shop. It has great food and friendly service. We loved our large fish and chips, and enjoyed the Gary Larson 'The Far Side' comic books too. Definitely worth a visit.”

“There are a lot of cafés in Belper and u haven't visited them all. I'm not likely to now as I can't imagine finding one as lovely as this one. Lots of lovely goodies, friendly service and a very tasty fet and chive scone. Good coffee too.”

“Used to frequent the Derby one quite a lot previously, and have now been to the Belper one a few times too. Always find the menu to have good variety and interesting dishes, and the food & coffee has always been very nice every time I've been. Been enjoying the veggie breakfasts recently. It's convenient that you can order via phone with the QR code or via the touch screen, and the service is always very friendly. There's always a nice atmosphere too. Keep up the good work :)”

“Generally quite well stocked but not as specialist as Sainsbury's for rarer cooking ingredients , I was unable to get ghee, gram flour and dried chickpeas here ..however they've got a fairly good selection for a medium sized store.Staff are polite and helpful if your struggling to locate items too.”
