Tom Yum Thai Kitchen

Nice food and great service. First time I have been to this area and it’s not the most obvious place to find in the dark, driving in from the A6. Staff very friendly - will definitely go back again.

Bridge Inn

The Bridge Inn is a beautiful old characterful building set in lovely surroundings with the river flowing right at the side. Both times we've visited recently the staff have offered a warm welcome and shown us to our table quickly. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. I can highly recommend the chicken and mushroom pie! It was fairly busy on the most recent visit but we didn't have to wait long to be served and the food came piping hot. Thank you, we will be back!

Duffield Balti & Grill

had a takeaway delivered from here tonight, absolutely lovely, delivered hot, popadoms and pickles starters, lamb madras, which was nicely hot, nan and rice. Would recommend based on tonight’s meal, I’ll definitely be using them again ??

Praan Indian Restaurant

Our favourite Indian by far. The food it really nice and the staff very helpful. It’s underground with the entrance off to the side, being underground means it can be quite dark but the setting and lighting make up for it . We usually eat in but even as a takeaway, it’s very nice. I have the shatkora and my wife has the saag, with the shatkora from here being my favourite curry for anywhere, ever. Can’t recommend it enough.Vegetarian options: We often have the vegetarian samosa and the potato main.

Angelo's Bistro at the Kings Head, Duffield

Lovely place. My sons took me for Mother's Day. I was slightly disappointed with my meal. The risotto wasn't very creamy and had to leave half of it, as I struggled to swallow as it was quite thick. The dessert pastry I thought was sponge as quite spongy. But it all tasted nice, the starter I had (bruschetta) was to die for. Definitely will go again

The Hanging Gate

Had a lovely family Sunday lunch. Food was very tasty. Staff very friendly. There were a few items missing from the plate so not quite five stars. Crackling from the trio and the baked apple from the pork dish, that we weren’t made aware off. Also as a beer lover although there were three ales on tap at the time they were all corporate and given the lovely location in the Peaks I would have liked a local ale choice. Overall though lovely lunch and pub.Parking: Loads of parking available.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly. Had our under 1 with us for lunch. Highchair was provided and very friendly staff. Was able to bring our own baby food.

gurkha express

Easily one of my fave Belper takeaways. Every curry I've had has always been top notch and Saturdays meal was no difference. A chicken korma with tender chicken pieces and the sauce just perfect. I'm so happy with this restaurant that I'm just slowly making my way through the entire menu!Food always delivered in great time and it's always arrived hot. Definitely recommended

ThaiLicious Duffield Catering

Delicious food ; excellent service. Very enjoyable visit. We shared some fish cakes to start and then had a chicken green curry and a fish dish, whose name I’ve forgotten! All very tasty. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has an upstairs mezzanine floor, where we were seated ; great for watching everyone else ?

Great atmosphere, steak wasn't done to what I said medium rare, came cremated... that's twice that's happened won't be ordering food again. Sorry :)

Go to wine bar when ever out for a drink in Duffield, best to book at table as often busy but Tom will always try to squeeze you in where possible. Always have a great experience and you are well looked after throughout

The Viceroy Duffield

We arrived early Thursday evening. What a well laid out restaurant. The food we ordered was mainly lamb, both starter and main course. We were able to enjoy half of it in the restaurant, but due to my wife having Blood Cancer, her Chemotherapy leaves very tired, so we had to leave half way through our meal. However it was all packaged up, and we took it to our hotel and enjoyed the rest of it on Friday. It was truly delicious. Thank You to everyone who served us and cared for us, we appreciated your thoughtfulness and kindness. We did truly enjoy the Viceroy experience and we hope one day return. Michael and Gloria

Greggs

Had a large sausage cob and a large chocolate drink only £3:40 and that set me up from 10:00am at work keeping me fuelled and ready . The girl behind the Gregg's counter replied after being asked for a large sausage by me that she knew I would have a large sausage and she could eat a large sausage herself. I will tell you if and when about this and award stars on eating skills but that's another write up.

Excellent service. Lovely coffee, delicious cakes and a varied menu that includes vegetarian and vegan options. Perfect for teas and coffee, snacks and light bites. Had a delivery for the first time . Amazing seabass starter ..best ever Indian fish dish ever. Tarka Dahl, aloo gobi , sag paneer was gorgeous..so nice to taste the spinach..and not creamed.. veg jalfrezi was tasty,lots.of diff veggies may be too spicy hot..and we like spicy or thought we did lol. Plenty left for the freezer.too. a lovely touch getting a complimentary naan bread

New Full House Belper

After waiting so long, I can finally order online! Very convenient. The service staff are also very attentive. When the meal is ready, I get a notification on my phone to remind me to pick it up. This service is really good

The River Garden

We enjoyed a fabulous all you can eat meal to celebrate a 90th birthday. Plentiful good quality food; we stayed for over 3 hours but were made welcome throughout with plates and napkins for the cakes we’d baked. Made the birthday girl very happy!

Pappa's Belper

Was looking for a place to eat as we arrived in town quite late and this was the only place serving food. But it was AMAZING! We ordered a chicken bbq pizza, chicken tenders with chips, a garlic cheese bread, and a 2 piece chicken meal thing. The pizza was amazing, the chicken tenders were hit and delicious, but the garlic cheese bread was absolute perfection. I've never had better anywhere else.

Hurt Arms

Came here as a group of 4 for lunch. We had already booked a table and were seated straight away. The service was very friendly and efficient with full table service. Nice ambience and not too busy. We all had the Sunday carvery which was probably the best Sunday lunch I have had in a long time (we all said the same)So fresh and plentiful. This place is a must visit. Would definitely recommend. We will be back for sure.

Golden Gate

Very friendly, great food, very tasty. Good clean seating area but on the night we visited there was no heating on and it was so cold the receptionist had a wooly hat and coat on......You can't pay by card in the shop but strangely you can when ordering on-line for pick-up! ?

Jade Garden

I was surprised to see the bad reviews for Jade Garden i cant comment on the premises as i only ever order takeaway but every single order over the last 5 years has been delivered in good time by friendly staff and the food has been amazing...tasty and piping hot with no hygiene issues. They are always busy in the phones but have a very polite young girl taking the orders. Highly recommended! A++++++

Love this place! Been visiting since moving to Belper with my family. Suitable for all ages young, old and inbetween! Easily accessible with a buggy, parking right outside. Great coffee and spot on breakfast.

Continental Foodbar

Popped in after a night out for some food, the staff were lovely. So chatty and attentive. We paid £11 for 2 huge chicken burgers, chips and cheese. Can’t fault the food at all it was delicious, we even had leftovers and ate them the next day and it was just as good!They even wrote “his and hers” on the orders, so cute!!

Taj of Belper

I eat a lot of Indian food. I often find the quality of a take away meal is less than a sit in meal. Not the case with the Taj. I ordered a lamb Tikka Madras and this was restaurant quality . I don’t give 5 * for no reason. This takeaway was excellent. Thanks chaps see you soon Jonathan

Rice Bowl

Fresh Bite Pizzeria

Had a large family gathering of 20 in Belper at Christmas so decided to get pizzas for everyone. I contacted Fresh Bite in advance and they said that they could do it. We ordered a total of 17 pizzas and two burgers which were ready on time when we went to collect them. Everyone enjoyed their food. Huge thanks to Mass and his team. I would recommend Fresh Bite to anyone visiting Belper and all those local to the area. David

Nik's Signature Fish & Chips

Twice in a row we’ve had great food from here. Chips were crispy and fish relatively crispy on first visit.Second visit chips not so crispy but still well cooked but fish perfect.Overall a lovely fish and chips. They’ve certainly gone up in quality since it was George’s.

Went in with some family whilst they was visiting, and they even said best pub in Belper ! Dog friendly, log fire burning and nice cold pint nothing much life needs else. Greeted with a smile from the bar staff, Kirsty the Bar manager was welcoming and Mark the Landlord. If your passing it s a must to stop for a drink

I phoned up the shop hoping that my order hadn’t left yet as I asked them to send a menu but it had so I asked the delivery driver if he had a menu in his car but he didn’t so he said he’d post one when he was next round here because they are quite alot, I said thanks thinking I bet he won’t, but a couple of hours later somebody posted something so I went to get it and somebody had posted a menu. I thought WOW I Didn’t Think He Would Do It. Just writing a message to say thank you very much for that anyway!!!!

Duffield Fish and Chips

A decent chippy with no issues with parking (I slung my van around the corner in The Viceroy's car park. Didn't have a clue what the price was pre-order and told after service it was £6.30 for a curry mix and fishcake in breadcrumbs. I was a little bit taken back but the meal was massive and delightful. Both staff members were welcoming and polite Will return the next time that I'm in the area for lunch/dinner. I don't envy you guys having to serve to the likes of the "Ten bob millionaires" of "Daffield" There are some right pretentious w@nkers who think they're above their station around them parts. A great experience from a little old chippy. Well done!

Ambergate Chip Shop

Fantastic chippy. Stopped half way round a walk yesterday and the food was perfect. I'm glad I don't live too close because I'd be as fat as a pig in weeks!

The Angels Micropub

Great micro pub, currently open Thursday - Sundays. Amazing selection of beer and cider, changes and has special events. Really good prices and poured straight from keg. Outside seating with blankets and heater. Worth repeat visits as drink selection changes. Friendly

The Kings Head

Had a fabulous evening at the weekend with 5 friends. The place was buzzing with live music and the staff were great. We also had a meal in Angelos which was perfect as always. Thank you

Bang In Belper

Enjoy Wetherspoons Ian Hobson.Bang atmosphere is second to none. Bang has the most creative upto date , varying board of beers from around the country supporting smaller craft breweries that matches if not beats many city centre giants, the food is inspiring and refreshing to see such creativity in dishes that give depth of flavour and taste to every dish and mouthful rather than the bland “brown” food which can be served at other “brown beer” establishments. Credit due to the Bang team for thinking outside the box and creating something inventive and very very special.

Dot-teas Emporium

I loved the cafe, food was good other than we ordered two lots of food and only one arrived. They quickly sorted this out. I really enjoyed the visit and it was very pleasant inside.

Lovely micro bar with beer and a couple of decent whiskies too. Table service which is a treat and staff were really friendly and attentive. Happy days . Will definitely be going back when I’m in the area.

Very much a local pub and busy which is always a good sign to me! Everyone is friendly though and service with a smile by the staff. Dog friendly with regular beer changes at very decent prices.

The Railway

Popped in for a pint during a day out. Good beer and a nice atmosphere. Can't comment on the food as we didn't order but the menu looked good and they did have a good selection of pork pies.

Friendly land lord. Decor a bit basic but you come here to drink beer. And the beer is fantastic. Second to none. Located in a lovely village. Speckled hen on draft. Awsome. Dude keep up the good work. I will go back.

Today I had breakfast at Morrisons Cafe , not only was the food good, but I would like to praise the service and attention to duty a young man called George , who served me today so polite, took time to take your order and was the most pleasant young man , made you feel welcome and nothing was to much trouble, so Morrisons Heorge is the type of young man that you should be very proud of and deserves pushing in all the right places as he is a true asset to your Company .

I went shopping there and it wasn't very busy, probably because it was raining fast outside. Staff very helpful when I couldn't find something. Good choice of food and shelves generally full.The checkout lady was lovely and asked if I wanted help with my packing. I always like help with my packing :).
