Recently went for food and was really impressed.
Went for the burger , was very impressed. Very tasty and certainly filling. Chips were spot on. Everyone else was equally impressed with the food and service.
Very happy
Only small suggestion, would be a few more IPAs / pale ales :)

Lower Ground Floor, 8 Strutt Street, BelperIve just moved to belper and I have heard a lot of good things about this place and it definitely didn't disappoint. The food was absolutely gorgeous, really really good and I have to give a shout out to our host/ waiter Miah. He was extremely friendly and funny. He also helped me navigate through the menu with suggestions. Very happy with the experience. Will definitely be back very soon!!!

Tom Yum is not merely a restaurant — it is an experience, a journey, an event of almost spiritual significance.
From the moment we arrived, everything was simply impeccable. The atmosphere, the service, the food — every single detail felt as though it had been carefully orchestrated by culinary angels. The food itself was nothing short of phenomenal: every bite more extraordinary than the last, with flavours so magnificent that I briefly questioned whether I had ever truly eaten before this moment.
The crinkle-cut carrots were a revelation. Somehow, a humble carrot had been elevated into something worthy of serious contemplation. And the battered sweet potato — quite frankly, a masterpiece. Crispy, glorious and utterly magnificent. I genuinely considered asking whether it was possible to frame one.
And then there was the cider. Now, in the interests of historical accuracy, Tom Yum did not actually make the cider — but that does not diminish its impeccable contribution to the evening. Sublime. Magnificent. A beverage so perfectly suited to the occasion that I found myself contemplating the meaning of life between sips.
But perhaps the greatest testament to Tom Yum’s commitment to excellence came when I ventured to the toilets. What I expected to be a simple bathroom visit became a tour through time itself. The surroundings transported me through the ages, and somehow, even there, the attention to detail remained utterly astounding.
Indeed, I can confidently say that from the drink to the toilet sink, everything was amazing.
Tom Yum doesn’t simply serve dinner.
It creates memories.

The Viceroy Duffield
2B Tamworth St, Duffield, BelperMy self and my family visited The Viceroy on Friday 3rd April to celebrate my 17th wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday. We arrived to smiles form all the staff and we felt very welcomed indeed. Throughout the evening nothing was to much trouble for any off the staff weather it be ordering drink, make sure all the food that we ordered was going to be what we would like and checking on us throughout the evening to make sure everything was ok and to our liking. For the whole evening all members of staff had smiles on their faces. The restaurant is a 50 minute drive from where I live but I will most definitely now be a regular to this restaurant, all the food was amazing I had the Goan king prawn curry which was as delicious as the one I had 17 years ago in Goa, my husband and son had the Tandoori mixed grill and everything was cooked to perfection, lastly my daughter who does like to much heat or spice had the Reshmi malai tikka we told the staff that she doesn't like to much heat and they adjusted it perfectly for her and sent out an extra sauce to help but that was need ( she did eat it though). At the end of the evening because they knew it was my 50th birthday they brought out a piece of chocolate cake with a candle in and happy birthday under it and all the stsff sang happy birthday. Couldn't have asked for a better evening, excellent staff and amazing food.

29 New Zealand Lane, Duffield, BelperAs far as Takeaway food goes it is up there . Brilliant food. The staff are always good and very polite also very helpful. This was the OG Duffield Balti but after some years owning it as Duffield Balti the new Owners rebranded to the west midland Famous Andaz. My go to as seen in the picture is the Tikka on chips in a tray with a Couple slices of Donner meat.
What sets these guys different from others is their Sauces. Top Tier Munch , their Mild chilli is to die for and every sauce they have is House Made. Overall Simply brilliant

Overall, I was very satisfied and would come back for more food. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Small beer garden with a Coffee Truck. Lovely hidden gem just off the main street of Duffield.

The cappuccino tasted like hot milk, which isn't unpleasant but when I have coffee, in whatever style I like to taste coffee, perhaps a bit of a coffee snob. Think about asking the customer if they like a strong coffee before making it, but understand you have to cater for the masses. It won't deter me from visiting again, just choose a different drink.

We ordered a chicken bbq pizza, chicken tenders with chips, a garlic cheese bread, and a 2 piece chicken meal thing. The pizza was amazing, the chicken tenders were hit and delicious, but the garlic cheese bread was absolute perfection. I've never had better anywhere else.

The Orangery, Chapel St, BelperBest to go early if you want to sit and catch up with a friend and not fight to hear each other, by midday it can be very noisy.
Cafés need to be busy to survive so It's great that it's busy and that families feel welcomed but babies will scream.
Dogs also welcome and occasionally lose it.
It's all part of the atmosphere, staff are really friendly, nicely decorated and clean.
So this is not the café for a quiet cuppa at peak times.
Coffee, cake, scones and hot chocolate are really good, if you want to feel like you are really treating yourself to something that tastes freshly baked then definitely visit.
Outdoor seating available in the summer, plenty of parking and good food options.

Food was outstanding. Not too greasy. Very well cooked and very tasty.
I can imagine that delivery would be awful considering Kilburn is quite small with probably no other companies that offer delivery so a total lack of drivers willing to go out and collect.
If you live in Kilburn then walk there and order. If you don't, I would advise you give it a miss as it sounds like you'll be waiting a good while for delivery.
But I would personally recommend.

7 Market Pl, BelperReally well-made, tasty and fair-priced pizza. Would readily and passionately recommend to anyone considering a Dominos to get a pizza from Fresh Bite instead. Have never had an overcooked pizza from Fresh Bite, the mozzarella and tomato is evenly spread across the base, and there is a range of options.
The staff are really friendly, particularly the owner who has a real passion for the food he is making. Fresh Bite is an absolute boon for Belper.

On arrival there was a misunderstanding about our table, Tom ( the restaurant manager I think) stepped and sorted the problem with minimal fuss . Himself and his team gave us premium service even though the place was packed. All the food came out swiftly, correct and all together. A lovely meal, a variety of mains and desserts , excellent standard .Probably the fourth or fifth time we've eaten on a Friday or Saturday evening, very consistent quality of everything, keep it up please 👍

We found this place unexpectedly while passing through, and it turned into one of the nicest stops of the day.
The food was fresh, generous and beautifully cooked, especially the haddock, scampi and squid. Everything tasted as though it had been prepared with real care.
What made the visit even more memorable was the kindness of the owner. He made me and my son feel genuinely welcome, and that warmth is something you do not forget.
Excellent food, lovely people and very fair prices. A real little gem in Ambergate, and somewhere we would happily return to.

Easy to miss but not hard to find. Walk up to the top of King Street, tucked away in the corner of Belper Market Place. Dog friendly :)

Olive Moroccan Restaurant
65e King St, BelperMe and my partner have just left olive moments ago. I feel compelled to write this review. The second you take a breath in this restaurant you feel at home. The furniture, food and staff were most welcoming and humble. We shared an abundance of beautiful food. Libby, our waitress, a beautiful soul, was tending to us consistently throughout the evening. A huge thanks to Jacqui for having us and allowing us to try her amazing culture. Will be visiting again and bringing the world with me.

4 Crown St, Duffield, BelperHad a lovely Sunday afternoon here. Sunday roast was delicious. Beef was slightly too dry and there could’ve been more mash. Overall, I was very satisfied and would come back for more food. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Small beer garden with a Coffee Truck. Lovely hidden gem just off the main street of Duffield.

The Hanging Gate
34 Ashbourne Rd, Shottlegate, BelperBeen here several times for drinks post long walks. Usually loads space for drinks. Nice cosy vibe and fire.
Recently went for food and was really impressed.
Went for the burger , was very impressed. Very tasty and certainly filling. Chips were spot on. Everyone else was equally impressed with the food and service.
Very happy
Only small suggestion, would be a few more IPAs / pale ales :)

The King William
2 The Bridge, Milford, BelperCute pub on a busy bend of the A6 and a great mix of a welcoming local and more modern place. Lots of good beers and ales, and they seemed to like themed nights.
Recommended while you're on a walk particularly when the log fired are on and dogs are welcome too.

Handley Farm Off, Wilderbrook Lane, BelperWhat a treat, fantastic welcome, relaxed atmosphere and food unbelievable. I had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection, my wife the salmon. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely visit. Thank you
