Visited while staying with family, service was quick and efficient, I ordered a mini haddock and potato fritter, prefer to chips especially when visiting Belper ! The fish was a really good size and I could tell was really fresh and perfectly cooked ! Both the waitress and the young man serving were polite, it’s nice to see this place back where it used to be to be after a slight dip a while ago ! Will definitely be back

Unfortunately, unlike all previous times we have ordered, there were items missing and there was no salt and vinegar on my chips. The Fanta wasn't on the order and the wasn't any hot chili sauce. Normally, we are very happy but this time we were a little disappointed. Also, have you changed your curry sauce? It didn't taste like it normally does.

This used to be a first-rate establishment but times change. It is still very busy but the quality of the food and service to customers has fallen. Prices have obviously risen in line with very high food inflation. But the quality of basics like chips, fish and sundries has fallen as has the temperature of the food during two recent visits. The staff do their best but they are clearly under some pressure at busier times and it does show out. Maybe doing less by not taking online and app orders might help?

I have commented before about the waiting time for delivering food but more importantly the delivery of barely warm food. Due to circumstances I decided to give king Street fish another chance tonight and although delivery was on time the food was again almost cold, I will not be ordering again and would recommend cooking at home as you have to put the oven on anyway to make it warm enough to eat which isn't easy when it has salad on it. Second chance failed I'll use other places from now on. Last response was an offer of free food, no thanks last 3 deliveries I have had have been cold.
