First of all, we weren't asked about allergies. My Mum can't have Fresh herbs and everything on the breakfast had herbs all over it even when it didn't need to.The place itself is nice and the staff were also really nice. We sat upstairs. We ordered 2 vegetarian breakfasts and one meat version. The meat version says on the menu that includes a tea or coffee, whereas the vegetarian version doesn't state this even though it is for the same price. We asked our server and he said it was included which was fantastic. We also ordered a latte which was also very nice. All the drinks came with a little biscuit which was a really nice touch and also very tasty!(The menu does state you can not amend your food, there is a review on here saying they were shocked but it is stated on each page of the menu). The eggs are poached, unfortunately the eggs were really hard. The hash browns were lovely and the halloumi was also really nice. My Dad also really liked the meat sausages even though they were smaller than you would normally get, you can tell everything is locally sourced. The sourdough toast was rock hard and really difficult to eat.Our table looked clean but all of the glasses on the table were faced down, all stuck to the table when lifting them and two of them had lipstick on!! Gross!!The toilets were clean.I would visit again however some improvements do need to be made so maybe in a year or so I will come back. Overall I think the food was a good price (£10.50) especially as it came with a drink.

Lovely food. Lovely staff. Can be slow when busy but it's busy because it's good.

Great service and wonderful food. Vegetarian and dietary restrictions are not a problem at all. Would highly recommend!

Me and my friend had a fish finger sandwich each. We questioned if it was genuinely cod as the fish dry, grey and chewy like pollock. The chef said it was cod and nothing more was said about my complaint. The waitress was very nice, but the manager failed to deal with our complaint. We will not go there again.

Went for breakfast today. Went for the mini English breakfast. I didn’t like 3 items on the meal and I asked if these could be swapped out. They said I would have to pay to add any swaps. My plate looked embarrassingly empty. Wrong sauce brought to the table. Staff didn’t seem very interested and appeared to avoid eye contact when wanting further drinks. Not very satisfied. Also would have liked a latte with breakfast but they only include a tea or americano, the latte was 20p more on the menu. Very stingy.

Excellent all day breakfast at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff. Conversation was a bit difficult as it was packed and a bit noisy but great atmosphere and will come again next time we're in Belper.

Second time at Nourish 44. I haven't been disappointed. I had the cruffin (croissant muffin). Fabulous idea. Pastry was a bit tougher than a croissant. It was coated in cinnamon sugar and stuffed with a lovely berry cream. The cream was rich and very sweet. I loved it. I also had the honeycomb hot chocolate. It was very sweet. Almost too sweet. Served at the perfect temperature. My only complaint is that the size of the hot chocolate was not big enough.

I've been here a few times before, but today was just the worst experience. First, we sat down waiting on the menu for over 10 mins and got up to get it as they didn't bother. When they served our coffee, one of the saucers was filthy. The sausage and bacon were overcooked (dry),the pouched egg one over cooked and the other one undercooked, also hashbrowns were missing, and all they could say was sorry, and to pay full price was just unfair. The place itself is dirty, spiderwebs were everywhere.Coffee was good that’s all.

Six of us visited for Sunday lunch yesterday, and while most of the group were happy with their meal, mine was very disappointing.I ordered the vegan sweet potato wellington, and was shocked to see it was just very thick slices of sweet potato and beetroot, wrapped in pastry. The pastry was also soggy, so all round the dish was poor.I was disappointed at the effort that was put into the vegan sides too. The rest of the group were given yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese, mash, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips, greens and red cabbage. I was given greens, red cabbage, and some poorly made roast potatoes. Vegan mash is very easy to make, and carrots and parsnips should be a given. We also had to wait an hour before our food was brought out and nobody came over to take second drinks orders in the nearly 2 hours that we were there. On a positive, the actual restaurant is beautifully decorated and everyone else seemed to enjoy their food.I wont personally be returning and wouldn't recommend any vegans/vegetarians do either

We went here for Sunday dinner and it is always the best most EPIC meal. Wonderful choice of vegetables, creamy mash, crunchy roast potatoes and a choice of meats. I had the roast chicken and it was delicious. This place really knows what it’s doing. The serving staff are so polite and pleasant. The tables aren’t too near to each other so you have your own space. It’s clean too. The best venue in Belper and surrounding area.

Ordered iced latte for three with some meals, the coffees were, in a word, awful. It was very weak and watery and very little taste of any real coffee. When questioning the waiter, he said that there was nothing he could do other than put in an extra shot if we paid extra! Advised that he could take back the lattes as we didn't intend paying for them. No manager came to find out. Not good, won't return.
