A nice selection of cask ales available from fairly local breweries and further afield. The pub is nice and clean and spacious with a charm about it. They have snack available like pork pie and cobs with usual crisps and nuts too. Will be visiting again.

My first visit whilst out dog walking, sat outside so unsure if dogs are allowed in, friendly service, good selection of beers. On first impressions, the pub is well presented, comfortable, and friendly .

Saturday 15.04.23: My friend (like me, a real ale aficionado) was visiting so, having told him what an excellent pub with great beers the BBH was, we set off. We arrived at 21.30 to be greeted with the unwelcome news that the pub would be closing at 22.00, although both Google and Facebook stated 23.00. Apparently the reason was a shortage of customers. (A two mile walk in total.) Disappointing, hence the two-star rating. Beer was good though.

Nice pub on the outskirts of Belper. Stella felt a little weak but could have been near the end of the barrell

Friendly staff and a lovely pint of ale.

Nice pub. Good outdoor space.

Great choice of ales, cider and gin at this friendly pub. Dog friendly and lots of countryside walks nearby. Good selection of pub snacks available, too.

Excellent range of ales, really impressive! Shame I couldn't try them all in the one visit.Visited again this evening. Still just as good, thankfully!

Lovely drinks and very friendly staff.

Very poor way of running a pub, most of the staff, except a few are rude and have attitudes. Not to mention the antics and immaturity of the owner. Will never be returning again after experiencing the worst customer service I've ever experiences. I've given one star purely for the staff that do make an effort and compliment the place, slightly.

Great beers. Great Music. Great atmosphere. Bar staff aren't too shabby either. Worth going just to watch The Gummers. They're a couple, both tall, who don't partake of the excellent craft Ales, but elect for a Carling and a Stella. They then sit themselves down in the deep Chesterfield sofa, deal each other some spearmint gum and sit and enjoy(?) their drinks. LOL
