I’m a pudding fiend and so suggested this place to my friends. We had a browse of the little shop section before sitting down for a drink. I had to sample a ‘Buxton Pudding with our Very Special Real Vanilla Custard’ too, which was a nice, crumbly treat. Quaint and quirky!

A lovely shop selling lots of indie brands of goods. We came to try out the puddings and they were delicious!! They also have a selection of cakes and sausage rolls. They’re also dog friendly inside the cafe area!

The place looked like a lovely little coffee shop and ideal for a lunch bite. We sat outside, and were quire pleasantly surprised as they did "freshly made from scratch sandwiches" which seemed great as my partner has lactose intolerance. However, when we went to order and asked if they could make us a ham and tomato sandwic without any butter or cheese. For our disappointment, they said that they couldn't do that because all their sandwiches are prepacked and that they weren't making the sandwiches... very disappointed with the misleading menu...Dietary restrictions: They don't cater for dietary restrictions

Absolutely loved this little gem. The Buxton pudding with cold vanilla custard was amazing (I was a little unsure about the idea of cold custard, but it was beautiful). The staff were friendly and helpful. Worth a visit if you're in Buxton

Little hidden away shop with great Buxton puddings!

Food was very nice & the service was good, but I was overcharged on my bill & didn't realise until we were on our way home.It has been an absolute nightmare trying to get my refund. It was only a small overcharge, but whilst the food was not massively expensive, it was a little pricey. Every penny counts these days.I have made six telephone calls & supplied my bank details nearly three days ago & I have still not received my refund. Neither of the two shops in Buxton can process a refund. The head office has to do this.I was promised a call back today, after calling them yet again & surprise surprise, no call back materialised.May I suggest that you check your bill before leaving the premises.Won't be using this place again.

The younger members of staff were fine, but an older lady at the counter was unfriendly and treated us as an inconvenient necessity. We were left to wait whilst others were served. Food was ok although coffee was quite weak whilst the prices were strong! Got the feeling that locals are more welcome than tourists and had my son's chair abruptly taken away for a more 'desirable' customer whilst he went to the bathroom. I am sure there will be more welcoming places in Buxton for us 'wretched tourists'

Popped in for an ice-cream with my daughter. She was very pleased with her tub of chocolate ice-cream and I couldn't resist sampling the Buxton pudding with some delicious custard. It would be nice if fresh iced coffee was available in the warm weather as the tinned ones have too much sugar. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We sat outside which was a lovely setting. Recommend a visit!Kid-friendliness: Very friendly to young child and accommodating with pram.

Visited The Pudding Emporium as I thought it a cute and quirky idea for a business. And I wanted to try the Buxton Pudding. Which didn't disappoint. I had the homemade vegetable soup with bread and butter. Hubby enjoyed a cheese toastie with veg crisps and side salad. Both meals were delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. I ordered my Buxton Pudding which arrived with its custard. Absolutely delicious. So good hubby ordered one and he isn't a pudding man.Lovely shop with all manner of foods and gift items. Lovely little place to visit. Highly recommend.

It wasn't busy when we called, staff were friendly. We decided not to sit in the restaurant as we had tired little ones! But we bought Buxton Pudding and a large tub of custard to take away. It was delicious! The shop is worth stopping at, some lovely treats to take away!

This is one of my favourite shops in which to buy treats, in this instance the excellent Hartington Creamery King's Blue cheese.

I was near the Crescent Visitor Experience when a gentleman told me about the puddings... I immediately went to have a look at the store... it's really quaint and the lady was very helpful. I purchased two Buxton puddings! They didn't take up much room in my luggage -and one I still haven't passed on as a gift. (I should probably taste the first one to see if I actually want to share... ha ha) After leaving this store I wandered off to look at a few things before looking for a cafe... I was about to commit to a cafe but my curiosity got the better of me and I went around the back of the Crescent and ... there it was ... another pudding shop. They, very much like the Tribbles on Star Trek, propagate. ( Kidding of course, I am rather sure you are safe to walk around the corner... there will not be a third store) However, the win for me with this second store is that it is a cafe. The staff were exceptional here and there was even a work experience person assisting. I had tea with cake and cheese. The lady superbly explained the cheeses to me and I was happy to try her suggestion. The tea was incredibly good. The cake was a wee bit dry but ohhh that local white cheese. oooooh la la. Yummy! They could have just given me a plate of it. Possibly not the most healthy of lunches, it will remain with me and I will be more open to eating white cheese in future.

We called for a coffee and cakes to the Buxton Pudding Emporium. We had 2 lattes 1 decaf tea. Loafcake. Raspberry Victoria sponge. Rocky Road. Coffee and tea, ok. The Rocky Road ok. The other two cakes were very poor value for money at £3:99 each. Very expensive. I will definitely not be using again. Dickie ?

A lovely cafe with attentive staff. Nice atmosphere. Tried the Buxton Pudding it was lovely. I’m not a fan of cold custard but this homemade vanilla custard went really well with the warm pudding. Lovely flavours and you could really taste the raspberry preserve. Would highly recommend.
