Food was served in a very cold room on very cold plates and they forgot part of the order. I ordered egg and bacon and they forgot the eggs ?‍♂️

This place is one of my favorite shops in the town. I’ve been shopping here for over 20 years, and it’s always somewhere I nip in for home or kitchen items, as they sell some of the best brands, which is fabulous, because good quality lasts a long time. For a small, independent shop, they have a brilliant variety.I often go to the cafe for lunch, and it’s a beautiful setting with a touch of Victorian glamour.Martin, Kelly and all the staff are so lovely and I enjoy a weekly chat when I go.

Poor quality food and not value for money. 2 meals for £7.50 each. Eggs on toast - 2 rounds of toast and 1 egg on rubbish bread and lettuce. The other was scrabbled egg and smoke salmon - 3 small pieces of salmon on same rubbish toast . Very poor response from owner when complaining. Will not be going back.

This shop just gets better and better. If I could I would buy the whole window it's so beautiful. Bought several items for my new kitchen. Couldn't wait to get home and unpack them. Fabulous service as always.

Fabulous and historic shop. My sister worked there 50 years ago. I am so happy it is still thriving. ❤️

Usually love this store. The actual shop and products are lovely but unable to rate any higher due to the arrogance of the staff. Customer service is shocking. Unless you want them to look down their nose at you. When I entered the store the product I wanted to buy said 3 for 2. Which for the price I thought that works quite well. Exited the shop to call someone to enquire colours and when I returned 5 minutes later the sign was gone. Obviously they had over heard me saying about the deal. I went to buy the items and asked where the sign had gone and he said it ended. I said when just then as it was there before and honestly he was so rude about it considering it was his fault he’d left the sign out 4 days too late. Could have been easily solved with some politeness but very disappointed. Don’t deserve to be treated in such a rude manner. Avoid if you want to be treated as a lesser being.

Always a warm welcome and delicious food so visited with friends from Australia. Enjoyed local produce of a Derbyshire oatcake with bacon and cheese and homemade passionfruit cake. A real taste of summer. Delicious

Oh so superior, obnoxiously rude staff. Where's the null point button? Quite clearly enamoured of themselves, the smirking, and glancing looks to each other, was the last straw. Won't be spending my money here, or even bothering to visit again while those two run it. They'd be a big hit in pantoland though.

Only been in to look. But seems to be a very nice shop that sell many things. I believe they have a very nice tea room too. Can't really give five stars only because I have not purchased there or used tearoom as don't get to Buxton as often as I would like.So nice to have a family business surviving. :)
