A nice pleasant atmosphere and food that was fresh and not stewed like you find in some Chinese restaurants.

So where do I begin. I came here on a whim as premier inn menu reminded me of why I left Essex, oily and tatty. My subdued pregnant wife craved a cheeky Chinese. We got there I knocked on the door that looked similar to my nans house, then went balls to the wall and barged in, the vibe was very minimal. The lady that serviced us seemed to be the owner, and mate she was so cute and lovely I wanted to eat her. The food was standard cheeky Chinese hehe. I got sticky hands from earlier in the day then decided to wash my shovelers. As I was getting a penny sized bit of dry rib out my nashers, the tap was drowning my mini me with water so I left the bathroom with sticky hands and a massive wet patch down below, for the record it wasn't cause of the little edible lady that serviced us. Would come here again. Farewell

A varied and authentic Chinese restaurant with all the ornate decor you'd hope for and friendly staff. Prices are also very reasonable for what you get.

We ordered a takeaway ( for 10 adults and 3 children) on the sat night 23rd Dec and it was excellent. A huge order and all correct , available to collect a few minutes after time specifiedThe food was delicious. Can thoroughly recommend the aromatic duck with pancakes, the spicy beef strips, chicken and ginger, chicken fillets and the pineapple rice ( new to us..spicy and yummy.) Will definitely be ordering again.

Lovely place, service was slow, took 45 mins for soup and it wasn't busy. Chips were very cold when they came and they appeared to be microwaved on the same plate. Other than that, the soup tasted good and the vermicelli was very tasty. A touch on the expensive side for my liking, but we were able to get a table on a Saturday night. Would go again now we know.

As previously stated this is like having a meal in somebodys front room so tired would be the best description. My wife and I went for a pre theatre meal as part of her birthday and were shown to a corner table next to as it turned out a birthday party for five people. This is where this review becomes difficult. The food arrived for the 5 person table and they appeared to be enjoying it.Our meal consisted of chicken and sweetcorn soup, chicken fried rice ,a king prawn curry and coffee. The chicken fried rice was luke warm and dry,the king prawn curry was smothered in a dark brown somewhat spicey uninviting mess.To us both meals were almost uneatable especially my curry, yet when the table was cleared and the majority went back to the kitchen no comment was made.I know I should have said something but as other diners were apparently ok with their food I must accept it was not to our taste.I paid the bill of £45 which for a meal you dont enjoy was very expensive.Would we go again, you must be kidding.

Dingy restaurant, toilets need a good clean - like going back in time, nice staff but they badly need properly managing. Food basic and came with no warmers or warm finger bowl having ordered spare ribs (received cold water).Constantly chasing things, forgot our drinks, just like the table next to us half an hour later. Only a quarter of the tables were occupied and 3 had issues to our knowledge. It seems like a takeaway with a restaurant attached - in this day and age you treat your customers this poorly at your peril, we will certainly not return although we often visit Buxton which has so much competition 100 times better than this

Just picked up and finished eating this poor excuse of a take away .. Crispy shredded steak in sweet chilli sauce should he renamed soggy bits of beef in pineapple water Egg fried rice tastes like plain boiled rice with scrambled egg in it Pork with bean sprouts both tastes and looks like pork in old dish water The most impressive part of this meal was how they managed to get the salt and pepper chips both burnt and soggy In conclusion £35 wasted

Food was fine, randomly stopped here during a cruise with friends. Food was okay, can't complain and prices were about average but I've definetly had better hence the rating. Would still recommend if you are looking for some chinese.
