Where to begin? Firstly, the gentleman who served us was very friendly and helpful. My husband ordered a fillet steak MW and immediately we were asked if it was ok for a 25 minure wait. We were. As I have a dairy and egg intolerance I can be limited to menu items. Our server gave me the allergy matrix and discussed my options. He also went into the kitchen and double checked the ingredients in my choice. Food arrived and it was tasty and well cooked. Husband was pleased with his steak. We were too full for a pudding. Unfortunately, we are only in Buxton for the weeknd, otherwise we would have returned for another visit. This restaurant is well worth visiting.Thank you for a lovelly evening.Dietary restrictions: I have a dairy and egg intolerance and our server was very helpful with menu options.

Decent Tex Mex-style food, though nothing incredible for the price. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was bustling, but unfortunately just missed the mark for us on value for money. A set of 3 tacos is just under £20, which is justified with the inclusion of fries, which we didn’t feel was necessary alongside tacos. 2 mains without drinks totalling to £40 seems expensive given the quality of the meals served. Not bad, but there are cheaper and better options nearby.

We came here on a busy Friday night (without a booking!) and were accommodated and welcomed straight away. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was first class, excellent portions and came out really quickly. We will definitely be back! Thanks guys ?

A lone star review for the Lone Star. Dreadful service, mediocre food. Very disappointed with this restaurant as expected more after reading the recommendations.

The atmosphere was lovely and we really enjoyed our meals, we will definitely be coming back again. The staff were really friendly and attentive, fast service and great portion sizes. The food was amazing, we had the T Bone steak and the 'Alabama slammer' burrito for our mains. Both were cooked perfectly! Birria fries and halloumi bites as sides were also delicious. We had the special Daim bar cookie dough for dessert, which was honestly the best dessert I've had in years!

was decent priced and cocktails were nice however burger was really really thick, there wasn’t much salad and the coleslaw wasn’t great either. loaded fries (cost extra) were gorgeous tho. the burrito thing tasted nice but was covered in bbq sauce and cheese so difficult to

Reserved a table the day before to eat ahead of our visit to the Opera House. They asked if we were seeing a show and advised us to book a little earlier to give us plenty of time. Food was amazing but portions are large... you have been warned. Service was very good and we will be visiting again!
Always amazing ♥️ I've been lucky enough to of been going here for years. The food is always excellent, great choices.. the cocktails are also super ? (who doesn't love edible glitter?!)The atmosphere is always electric as there is always a good mixture of people in there.Without any doubt I'd absolutely recommend

Service was very good. Polite, friendly staff, can’t fault them. The food on the other hand… resembled a student house meal. Very basic, unusual and not flavourful. Huge chucks of peppers and onion in an obnoxiously large burrito, garnished with sour cream, grated cheese and uncooked cherry tomato on top. Wouldn’t recommend.Vegetarian options: Reasonable amount of vegetarian options.

Speedy service, perfectly sized portions for the price. Absolutely delicious. A nice take on the Texmex menu.
