Disappointed.Booked a table for 1pm for 4 people to enjoy a lunchtime break with my mum & nephew.When we arrived we were told its an hour wait for food even though we'd booked with a week's notice!Explained that wouldn't work as I needed to be back at work in an hour. Was told nothing they could do.Won't be bothered to try again.

Really nice food. Clean and tidy. Great choice of menu..Didn’t like little kids running about when you trying to eat.. apart from that it was great. Will definitely be coming

What can i say this pub is the best in chesterfield ,great staff ,excellent customer service ,and best of all the food is very very nice,never ever had a bad meal here allways piping hot and very tasty ,chefs need recognition ,Alex served us with a smile he deffinately deserves recognition ,such a gentleman ,a big thankyou to Alex and all the staff at the Donkey Derby ,will be back again this week thankyou team ,.Vegetarian options: Plenty to choose fromDietary restrictions: Something for everyoneParking: Never struggled to.park

Visited on Thursday evening, ordered at the bar, went to the loo and back to my table and the food turned up ?. Lightning fast service and the Hunters Chicken skillet was lovely.I know drop-in seating can be difficult to find at times so if there's a lot of you I'd book ahead.Well worthy of a visit

Group of 6 of us went for food and drinks on Sunday night around 6.30pm. Staff very friendly, service good and the food was very good. Unfortunately 1 in our party asked for a coffee and was told it wasn't available as the machine had been cleaned and 1 of the premium lagers is ridiculously expensive which we didn't know about until it was poured and the staff member was waiting for payment.
