An absolute gem of a restaurant, the food was excellent, great authentic menu.The staff were really friendly.We visited on a Sunday around 6.30pm, there was a family enjoying a meal together and the waiter seated us in a quieter area which was really thoughtful, though I have no objection to well behaved families enjoying themselves!We didn't feel rushed and enjoyed a 2 hour stay.We will definitely visit again.

The order was taken perfectly even with the tweaks and the food was brilliant the service was spot on with the right balance of attention. Hands down one of the best Thai places iv ever been! The word authentic does not justify how amazing this place is! The food, decor, atmosphere, and owners really take me back from when I visited Thailand. Iv been craving Authentic Thai food ever since I got back to the UK and this really hit the spot! The owners are lovely people and really make you feel at home - with lots of great suggestions!I highly recommend getting the sticky rice and ice cream for desert - the owner was so passionate about this and was really keen for me to try it... Never had any problems with this takeaway or with any of the staff. They are very polite and friendly. They also remembered us from one of the first times we visited and also remembered what we like to order and how we like it cooked, which, in my opinion, is them going above and beyond even when it's not expected. The only problem I have with this takeaway is that it's closed on Mondays every week, so, we have to go elsewhere if we want takeaway on Mondays. :(Parking: The FREE car park is behind the shops on London Street and there's always spaces available to use. It doesn't ever close or charge a fee to use. It can be used by anyone, whether they're using the shops or not or if they're a resident or visitor, it doesn't matter. Also, as far as I'm aware, there isn't any timer or time limit on using it.Kid-friendliness: Kids are definitely welcome in the takeaway shop and they're also catered for on the Golden Grill menu.

Delightful pub grub establishment with a varied menu across a wide price range. We plumped for the Set Menu 2 course option, traditional carvery (heaps of veggies, beef and gammon) and I had a pepperoni pizza made and served by the excellent Megan (pink writing) who informed me that it was her first stab at pizza making. Not to worry Megan, it was delicious and I highly recommend other diners ask for you to make and prepare theirs.Ooh, nearly forgot, we finished off our meal with apple pie and ice cream. Yum ?All for the very competitive price of £10.99 pp.Happy to recommend this establishment AND Megan's pizzas

Absolutely first class. Loved it, loved it, loved it. Such friendly staff! Wow, we were really treated so well. The food was amazing and very high quality. An excellent wine list to choose from as well. My only complaint would be that the portion sizes were a little big for the main dishes so we couldn’t quite finish it all. However, the food was extremely tasty with some home made classics. If you would like a nice place for dinner, you can always come here! Breakfast in the restaurant for hotel guests was lovely too.Parking: Plenty of parking available.

Last Night 22.10.2023 My daughter and I ordered our first takeaway from here. It was more of a test to see if her local takeaway was any good. We were very pleasantly surprised! I have had quite a few Chinese takeaways so know what I like and what tastes good. The delivery guy was lovely and friendly. Our meals arrived lovely and hot (to be fair my daughter lives close by). We ordered Chicken Satay Chow Mein and Stir Fry Vegetables in Oyster Sauce. The flavours were beautiful! We ordered spring rolls which came in a lovely box with a sweet and sour dip, they were not greasy and were crisp and flavoursome, the egg fried rice wasn't greasy either and had a really lovely taste. The salt and pepper chips were outstanding! She is so pleased to have found this little gem!! I'm not sure our waistlines will agree but hey ho! I can highly recommend Mai Hing with complete confidence!

First class. The drinks selection is particularly excellent. Lots of specialist drinks and cocktails to choose from including drinks from the Connoisseurs Cabinet. The bar is very stylishly decorated and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They also do food and tapas which was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend and the atmosphere was relaxed and social. I would be very happy to go back.

To be clear this isn't a complaint about this particular store but this is my most frequented for breakfast and it has caught me out a few times . Why does McDonald's not provide milk with tea? It's not available on the menu whereas coffee with or without milk is . It's not on the side in the restaurant you have to ask for it , and when you order delivery to a numbered parking spot it's never in the bag and the server never asks if you want any . When you ask them for some they never have anybin their bum bag and have to go back inside the restaurant to fetch some back out to your car. For everything else that McDonald's are efficient in this seems a very inefficient way of providing us english with a traditional cuppa!

This was the first time we ordered from here, and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic, and arrived in the timeframe stated when we placed the order. They even threw in some prawn crackers and fortune cookies which was a nice touch. The Red Thai curry with beef was especially tasty, and I would definitely recommend. We’ll definitely be back. The only down side was the member of staff who took our order over the phone was quite blunt and a little bit rude. They answered quite aggressively, were not very polite, and put the phone down on me whilst I was talking. To be honest, I almost called back to cancel, but I’m glad I didn’t in the end. This was a shame, as the member of staff who delivered the food was really lovely and friendly! Overall, very nice food and definitely worth a try.

Great pub, good selection of drinks, friendly landlord, landlady and staff. Pool table and darts board in the games room. Quiz nights on a Thursday and Sunday with play your cards right at the end. Fantastic place to hold a function such as a birthday party, leaving do etc.

An absolutely beautiful hotel within superb grounds. The food at the Red Lion restaurant is fabulous, the only thing I would say is the service is a bit too fast and needs slowing down as you feel a bit pushed. The staff are wonderful, from reception to the restaurant.

Amazing night at Bottle & Thyme. Definitely recommend, the food was unbelievable, best food we’ve had in a long time. The service was second to none, really attentive and quick and the atmosphere was great with a live singer, lastly happy hour cocktails at 9pm so nice drinks and a good price too! Quality food for vegans and non-vegans alike. We ordered the Firehouse Burger with Pesto fries which were so unusual and so special, and the Chickpea and Apricot Salad which is one of those meals where every bite is delicious and different from the last. Full of unusual flavour combinations and perfect whether you want comfort food or something more nutritious for a really reasonable price. Lovely staff who kept the shop open when we arrived late and looked after us really well. Would 100pc recommend!

Staff really friendly, along with the locals. 10 of us had Sunday lunch and all went away completely full as portion sizes were very good. The food was traditional home cooked roast and was delicious. We had 5 dogs with us which was not a problem to them, the Landlord even took photos of the dogs sitting on one of the covered chairs.

This pub serves excellent food, with an interesting range of choices, generous portions, and quick service. We sat outside with our dog in lovely weather. Dogs are allowed in the bar inside. The only downside was the tinny music failing to distract from the road noise from a nearby bypass. Having said that, I'd definitely go again.
