I stay in hotels every week with work. I normally use Premier Inn, so this was a change. Staff were wonderful, and the breakfast was an amazing range compared to other hotels. I would say the breakfast was better than a premier inn. The location was great, and a Harvester pub right next door. Free parking is a bonus. My only complaint would be that the bed was a little firm for me, and I had a bit of back pain the next day. It did not spoil my stay and would be happy to use Ibis again. Room prices were, in my opinion, very cheap.

Look, the hotel won't win any awards for decor, but it does what it says on the tin. Great location for onward travel. Polite and helpful staff. Facilities clean and fully operational. Brilliant breakfast - added bonus that it was quiet too! Free parking and McDonalds right next door. Also has a bar on site. I don't think anyone could grumble for the price. Thank you for making my stay pleasant.

I found the hotel staff friendly and efficient, very knowledgeable when I asked for advice on local walks, also acted immediately to clean and spray my room when I said it smelt of cigarettes,Bed was comfortable but the room was way to warm so I had to sleep with the window open as I could turn the radiator off and here lay the problem I was awoken several times during the night with car park noise and worst of all when the dray men came to change the barrels of the pub next door at 5.35 and made a tremendous din for around 30 minutes followed by all the workmen slamming van doors and and at one point what sounded like moving tools or scaffolding around, I had a very busy day of assessment and went to work feeling shattered

This hotel needs renovations asap! The rooms are depressing! Modernization needed asap! Fridge microwave is a plus! The WiFi is horrible! Forget trying to stream, work or game! Some staff need to go! Food is horrible and nothing at all to do in the area!Safety: Needs more lights in the car park and around the building! Depressions all around this hotel

Room cleaner than last visit, though broken tiles on bathroom floor. Warm and clean budget hotel. Commented on last visit about broken floor tiles in bathroom, different room but same problem this time. Room 210.

Great value for money, but the room was in need of some TLC and the heating had been turned off (end of December)

We arrived from Canada with the intention to stay at this hotel for three weeks. However, I must say that I would not recommend staying for more than three days, or basically keep it a short stay and not because it was a bad experience, but because it didn't provide the amenities we needed for a long-term stay. For short stays, it is satisfactory. The room was cleaned well and we had no complaints about anything. The front desk staff had always been super helpful and friendly, never had an issue with getting your needs met at that hotel and the cleaning staff for the rooms had always done an awesome job of keeping everything neat and tidy. The hotel also has a café-style restaurant on the ground floor which seemed to attract a lot of attention. Although we didn't try it ourselves, it appeared to be popular. Additionally, there is the Harvester located adjacent to the hotel, which is easily accessible. There are also various amenities nearby, including shopping options, groceries, and a Costa Coffee. The surrounding area is pleasant. My only suggestion is that if you are planning a longer vacation, it may be advisable to consider upgrading your stay to a slightly more expensive option in order to ensure complete satisfaction on a different level.Nearby activities: The hotel is pretty close to Chesterfield, just a 16-minute drive or 8.9 miles away and if you're interested, you can also reach Bolsover Castle in just 12 minutes or 5.9 miles.Walkability: Not a far car ride from the nearest town Clowne, maybe 10 minute. You'll have no trouble walking to Costa Coffee and McDonald's in less than 1 minute and with the Harvester located right next to the restaurant.Food & drinks: The hotel offers food and drinks, and you can also enjoy the convenience of dining next door at the Harvester.
