Doesn't really change from year to year and quite honestly, it needs a serious re vamp and refurbishment. Food is good enough but portions seem to have reduced eg when you used to get two toast with your breakfast you now only get one. Gluten free options are great as they are seriously lacking in other cafés in Chesterfield.Staff can be a bit hit and miss, friendly and welcoming one day but a bit abrupt and off hand another so pick your day and staff member!Could be a lovely little place if they spent a bit of money on it.Dietary restrictions: Good that they provide gluten free options on many dishes. A good gluten free breakfast can be ordered.

Here on the day after xmas. All was quiet in town. The rain mist was upon us but the full breakfast was going to bring in the new year.Good owners, regular locals. I visit everywhere. Would come back again.

I patronise Woodhead's Cafe Chesterfield seven days a week for my lunch; I followed them from Packers Row. Nothing/no-one is perfect. I hold several negative opinions re this establishment: They have what I believe is a 35" monitor connected to a "Powerpoint" programme, one of the displays tells customers not to approach the counter as they operate a table service. Customers queue at the counter to pay, ahead of diners who remain at their table who wish to pay. The illiterate also obstruct the staff in their duty, though this is tolerated. They run a half-way house re table reservation too. If a party request a reservation, that carries a sold gold guarantee; as opposed to single's request for same, whch is at best hit and miss. The toilets are, have been in dire need of attention. A very close and dear friend accompanied me only once, swearing never to do so ever again because of this issue. On the "up side," their menu is fairly priced, staff, though turn-over is high, are friendly and efficient. I suffer from Ulcerated Colitus, demanding gluten-free food. The cafe's offerings in this direction are better than most other eateries in town, as with the general menu is well priced.

I remember coming here most weekends with my mum as a teen. It was awhile since I’ve been so decided to come get again with my mum and kids for proper homemade cooking. I had scampi and chips, mum had quiche of the day, one daughter had full English and my youngest had sausage meal. Could not fault the food. For such a small kitchen they do a decent variety of meals. We loved our meals that much we all squeezed a pudding. Kids have been begging me to go into town for another meal so definitely be coming again when out shopping xx

My sister and I enjoyed a bacon cob and a latte each. It was very nice. We'll definitely be coming back again.

Dreadful and dirty. Who are these people who rate on Trip Advisor? What is the point?
