“April 2025
The meal and location lived up to their reputation. This was a chance visit, but we were so glad to have made it. Both meals we had were excellent.
The service and everything else was smart and relaxed.”

“Wow, well what can I say........it's been a while pal! I once graced this place and dance floor many many years ago and by the looks of it the place hasn't changed one bit!
Still got the sticky floor boards and my god doesn't look like it's been painted or refurbed for years could do with a decent lick of paint!
As for the toilets and urinals I'm pretty sure it's the exact same urinal that my mate face planted in after sinking 12 pints of carling darling and 6 sambucas all them years ago!
I sunk a couple of shandies today to reminisce and yep you got it still tastes pissy and watered down like the old days but today was a different day and it was a cracker, a lovely place for the Aspire Wrestling Alliance to put a fantastic show on for the people of Derby who showed up in numbers today.
I thought the venue was spot on although the wrestlers couldn't get to do there stuff off the top rope due to the limited height restrictions.
With food and drinks available at the bar I would say the day was another successful event with atmosphere holding nicely in the building and the Aspire team making good use of the dj box ready to go.
I must say the main event was absolute carnage, ironing boards, stop go signs, diverted traffic, ladders, chairs, lego and even a false leg ? made an appearance you just cannot make this stuff up pal incredible!
Only disappointment today was I ordered some chips and when they arrived came in a burger box and must have been 20 chips in there altogether and for £3 quid I felt very aggrieved.....someone had my pants down there son!
A great day out for all the family! ?”

“What can i day, first time at the Harrington Arms to eat and wow it was stunning! It looked sensational and tasted amazing! Husband started with a small plate, Belly Pork bites, succulent and just enough to start. My starter was Mackerel Pate, fresh, tasty with a bite from the chutney. Main for the Hubby was 10oz Sirloin with triple fried chips, onion rings and mushroom. The Steak was succulent, not an ounce of fat and tasted beautiful. The onion rings and Triple cooked chips i had never tasted the like before. The batter on the rings were light, crunchy and so tasty, the chips were something not tasted before but i will be back to try again and they weren’t even on my plate! I had the Cod Loin, so beautifully cooked, menu had just changed, so came with noodles and pak choi, but wow it did not disappoint! We couldnt manage a sweet but opted for a coffee and a Brandy. What a superb meal, we will be back!”

“Nice pub with friendly Staff and nice food.
Plenty of space outside if the weather is good.
Parts of the pub could do with some TLC but still a nice place.
Lasagne was very nice and I could have eaten more.”

“Located in a pretty village location The Malt is an excellent pub and restaurant. We visited at the end of last week after having booked a table for a meal there. On entering, the pub is attractively set out decor wise, and gives a cosy and welcoming look and feel,
We were welcomed very pleasantly by the lady running the main bar. She even took the time and trouble to take us through herself to the eating area and ensure that we had all the information we needed to order. It’s also good to find a pub where you can order at the table rather than have to keep going up to the bar to do so
The food was excellent overall and represented fair value for money. All the other staff we encountered after the first lady were equally pleasant and attentive.
If you are driving to the pub, there is a small car park with probably around five or six spaces, but there is plenty of on the street parking nearby also.
Overall, a great experience, and one that I think will be repeated by us at some point in the future. Five stars for The Malt from me.”
