We were visiting Melbourne and decided to visit Forteys for a coffee and a snack. We received a lovely warm welcome from the owners and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and food. Would certainly recommend to other visitors to Melbourne. As well as their cafe, they also have a great selection of breads (we purchased some sour dough) and also gifts and cards.

Travelling through Melbourne from West Midlands we decided to stop off for a bite to eat and leg stretch. Found free car parking, walked round corner and saw Forteys on main high street. As soon as we entered we were greeted by a friendly couple and an abundance of cakes, pastries and sandwiches, which all looked absolutely lovely, it was a tough choice. What we ordered was delicious, my daughter even commented that the cake was the best she'd ever tasted. It is truly a little gem. Thank you Forteys !

We have visited Forteys three times now for coffee and cake (or earl grey and the same) three times after great walks around Melbourne. The owners are always super friendly, the service is quick and the food and drinks are delicious. Now summer is finally here we can sit outside in the little courtyard at the back too.

Nice coffee and a bun in a beautiful village. Nice and bright with a couple of tables in the garden. Nice art on the walls, they also sell ice cream and bread.

Fabulous coffee, delicious sausage roll with pickle, beautiful bit of tiffin and most importantly a lovely atmosphere with really welcoming staff who answered all my questions with a smile. A proper coffee shop and a really lovely place to stop, can’t recommend highly enough.
Lovely shop and cafe, lots of sweet and fudge choices as well as many delicious pastries and savories to choose from, friendly staff, everyone should pay a visit!

I called in here just before closing and the staff were very friendly and helpful in advising upon places to have an evening meal over the Easter weekend. A relaxing and comfortable restaurant with very good food right in the centre of the village.
