Travelling through Melbourne from West Midlands we decided to stop off for a bite to eat and leg stretch. Found free car parking, walked round corner and saw Forteys on main high street. As soon as we entered we were greeted by a friendly couple and an abundance of cakes, pastries and sandwiches, which all looked absolutely lovely, it was a tough choice. We have visited Forteys three times now for coffee and cake (or earl grey and the same) three times after great walks around Melbourne. The owners are always super friendly, the service is quick and the food and drinks are delicious. Now summer is finally here we can sit outside in the little courtyard at the back too.

We were visiting Melbourne and decided to visit Forteys for a coffee and a snack. We received a lovely warm welcome from the owners and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and food. Would certainly recommend to other visitors to Melbourne. As well as their cafe, they also have a great selection of breads (we purchased some sour dough) and also gifts and cards.
