Came for a meal to celebrate our sons 14th birthday and my birthday and we weren’t disappointed the meal was gorgeous as always . the service was 10 out of 10 the staff were so friendly and very professional , had a chat with them asking what was happening to them when it shuts for the refurbishment so pleased they are keeping their jobs . Definitely will be coming again once you open again . Xx

I found this outstanding Pub in google map. For a day trip around we visit here on week day afternoon, not rush. But still limited parking space . Felt good while walk in , few different parts of dining area , friendly staff experience order with her or mobile App , really clearly and easy to used with photo in Apps, not like some normal bar/pub . Fresh cooked meal, started ( we didn’t order mains). Even desserts ?. Surely will return for main dishes . Felt really good dine in .

10/10 Absolutely fantastic food! My husband said it was the best burger he’s ever eaten, and I couldn’t agree more—the quality of the meat was outstanding in both the burger and the steak I had. I also tried a cherry cocktail which was lovely and sweet. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

unusual presentation tray boxes not plates the worst fish and chips I have ever had . very cramped inside not really wheel chair friendly would not recommend.
Been coming for years , pub dates back to 15th century, ancient fireplace dating to around 1596 and old beams , good real ale beer, limited parking and tasty food, outside drinking available in extended area.

I have been coming here for some time with my son and I were going round the Dronfield beer festival he is only 10 but he likes the bands and he also likes going to the stoops probably one of the only pubs he does like. on the day of the beer festival that has been family friendly for many years we went to the stoops and were told that children were not aloud in for the festival at 3pm....to be fair I'm quite appalled that they have done this at a family friendly event especially as they normally let children in...as a result I won't be going here again plenty of other venues let children in and we will be taking our regular custom to one of them venues.

We attended the dronfield 1 valley event and the drinks were overpriced (£12 for a double vodka ) then the next day decided to try food . We both had a burger . The bun was burned … not nice food ! The menu hasn’t changed for at least a year but being locals we thought we would give it another try . I won’t be going back as the food is not nice and the beer overpriced! Such a shame ! No place just to enjoy a drink but then the eating areas are virtually empty …. Maybe the owners are doing something wrong !!!.???
