Stopped for coffee and cake on the way to our holiday in Clitheroe, great service, dog friendly and delicious coffee and cakes, perfect!

Comfortable and warm with tasty food, great coffee, and fast, friendly service for strangers and regulars alike. I can recommend the bacon and cream-cheese bagel, along with the spicy wraps, and I've just eaten the best steak wrap ever! Oh, and there's the full english breakfast too - delicious!! And, finally, I almost forgot the fantastic cakes, made by the owner's missus ?Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie dishes!

Stopped off on our way home from Sheffield to Liverpool. Fantastic full English breakfast. The quality of the food was great. Nicest black pudding I’ve ever had! Coffee was also lovely. Owner gave us some really helpful information on where we could buy the coffee. Definitely would recommend Dukes snd would love to try again.

Called in today, Saturday, at around 1.45pm and ordered drinks which were delivered promptly. We were then informed that they had stopped serving cooked food. Would have been nice to be told this before we ordered the drinks. We left and went elsewhere. As said in a previous review their business acumen is sadly lacking.

Delicious breakfast and excellent spicy prawn and ciabatta. Dog friendly and provide outdoor seating. Excuse the half eaten pic!

If you are looking for a quality menu at great prices along with great service and friendly staff you need to pay this place a visit. Go early to be sure to get a table and full choice as it can get very busy. We look forward to going back!

Called in for a breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Had a full English, cappuccino and a fresh orange.Only downside is I would of liked a traditional sausage but the flat type they serve is still spot on in flavour. Will definitely return with the family ?

We made an impromptu visit this morning to Dukes for a coffee and cake. It was a delightful experience. We received a very warm welcome, super hot coffee and a selection of cakes to choose from. I noticed that meals are also available, as well as a panini’s and toasties upon request, just ask it says! The walls are adorned with work from local artists of the local area too. The cafe is immaculately clean. Before leaving we had a conversation with the owner who clearly cares about how their coffee is produced and is obviously very proud of the business and rightly so.

I researched this café, looking for a meal break in my long journey home from Sheffield. I made a special detour to Glossop to go there. I checked the opening hours on their website the night before, which said they were open until 5pm. It was very disappointing therefore to find all the chairs on the tables and someone cleaning up at just before 3.45. The man explained that they had been very quiet. When I asked about the hours on the website the man said that they didn't know the password to make changes!! Luckily I spotted a Food Hall (not just any food hall...) down a path on the opposite side of the road and went there. I try and support the independents but I felt badly let down by this one. I would have been writing a quite different review if the man in the café had had either compassion or a business brain. Both were absent. When I had just travelled an hour to get there and find the café closing, the offer of a hot drink and piece of toast would have been very welcome. As it was I had a very tasty halloumi and falafel wrap in the Food Hall.

Lovely simple lunch of toasties served with a generous serving of mixed leaves and a portion of nice tasting coleslaw. Coffee was good, sat out by the road to watch the world go by. Super clean toilets.
