Glossop Cafeteria

Great breakfast with all the trimmings, owner is very friendly and eager to welcome regular and new visitors. Atmosphere is what you expect of a traditional cafeteria, simple, straightforward and perfectly reasonable.

Probably one of the best breakfasts in the Glossop area. Be cautious about visiting on weekends, especially Sunday as it can get very busy, being particularly popular with locals and bikers.

Peels Arms Hotel

We had a meal here after a day of hiking and it was exactly what we needed.

The menu has a good variety of choices and the food is to a good standard. The portion sizes are large and for the price we paid, we were really happy with our meal. We each had a starter, a main and a side dish. All were brilliant.

The service is absolutely brilliant as well. Everyone from the bar staff to the waitress taking care of us were really friendly and were on the ball all night.

There isn't a dedicated car park from what we saw, but the streets surrounding the pub aren't permitted and we found a space on the road outside with ease.

We didn't stay in a room so I can't comment on that. But overall we were really happy with our meal at the Peels Arms. The food and service were brilliant and when we got the bill we were pleasantly surprised. It's a really good price for what you get. I can highly recommend this pub.

Cookies & Kreme

1st time going cookies & Kreme and I would highly recommend. Very friendly, accommodating staff.
Desserts were excellent- even my 5yr old polished everything off. Job well done lads.

Ayubowan Restaurant

Had a lovely meal with friends in this restaurant last night. The food is presented so well and is so colourful and appetising. The service from the staff was helpful and polite as they helped explaining dishes. Just a slight mark down on atmosphere as the booth seating is quite uncomfortable for dining.

Burgerfy

We had a 4 hours hike, then we went to this restaurant with my family friends. I enjoyed the burgers, it was great and the service was good. The only thing which I think they should have wet tissue for people dining in or place to wash our hand.

The Balti Palace

I called in as a solo traveller and I was given a warm and friendly welcome when I arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful, yet not too overbearing. The restaurant was very clean and well laid out - it was very comfortable.

The food was delicious, it was freshly cooked and with wonderful flavours and just about enough heat for me. The kitchen staff are clearly very creative.

I thought it was good value and, given I hadn't reserved, I was lucky to find a table. Thank you to all, I will definitely return when I'm in the area again.

Norfolk Pizza

Absolutely beautiful food so fresh and nice every time the staff are so polite. I get a chicken kebab on pitta bread and it’s amazing. They deliver it was quick too

It is so fantastic to come into this pub and find it busy with such a warm, friendly, fun atmosphere! The staff are kind, friendly and give fantastic service and the cocktails are delicious! What a wonderful addition to Old Glossop ?

Taj Balti Glossop

The most delicious chilli chicken that I've tasted. Absolutely Amazing. And the delivery worker went above and beyond. Thank you x We will certainly be ordering again x

Tesco Cafe

Wonderful! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Took my order in a nice mannor and made me feel very welcome from the start. Plenty of seating to choose from. I ordered a breakfast and Tea, both were amazing. Plenty of food at this Cafe! Compared to the last Tesco cafe (where I had more fingers then beans on the plate) this really bumped up my recommendation for Tesco Cafes.

The food here is honestly the best I've had at any Tesco Cafe and I'm quite the Tesco breakfast person when traveling. You can tell it was made with love rather then thrown together and launched at you. Plenty of beans, egg was perfect with a nice runny yolk, bacon was not too fatty like most places, hash browns were out of this world (share your secrets please) and toast was perfect. Honestly it was like was waking up on a Sunday morning running down stairs to see your mother has made you a English breakfast!

My only issue that could be completely down to me as it was my choice. The table in the back corner. It's very low - like when in the seat my knees are higher so it made eating a little uncomfortable. Looking around through there is only one other table like this so in the end it was my choice, but would be wonderful if it it was just a tad bit higher!

Overall if you are like me and staying in the Stockport area wondering which Tesco Cafe should I head over for breakfast then choose this one. I'm saving this location for next time I'm down south as honestly it was worth every second, penny and full stomach!

Parking: Plenty of spaces and location is great and easy to get to.

The Oakwood

Went in for a Sunday roast, on a Sunday and they don't sell Sunday roasts ?

However, the food and service was absolutely spot on. The pub etc is really well decorated and the staff very friendly.

We will definitely return, just not on a Sunday, for a Sunday roast ??

Pico Lounge

Being going to pico on and off since it opened in glossop always had mixed view about the place but at the moment it's spot on staff service food you have just got it spot on

Raj Gourmet

1st time ordering off Glossop Eats. Had a 20% offer on so we ordered a varietyoff food e.g. chicken burgers (fussy kid gave it 9 out of 10!!), a mixed madras which was spicy but not too spicy as a madras shouks be and a mega kebab. Food came quickly and was hot. One criticism was that I asked for no donner on the notes but that was ignored, but it was actually quite tasty donner meat! For my fussy kids to rate a place is a great accomplishment!

The Globe

We had a fantastic meal with great service. Sunday lunch and chickpea curry both delicious. Relaxed atmosphere and very reasonable prices. Will absolutely be back!

Mamo Eat - SK13 8DA

First visit to pizza town & we were very impressed! The food was absolutely delicious and the portion size was enough to fill me up and save the rest for later. And to top it off, we were given a garlic bread with cheese for free. Incredible service and lovely staff.

Thai Wok Noodle Bar

Seriously tasty food. They are happy to amend the ingredients to suit which is perfect because I can have a little spice added to a mammas box. Excellent quality ingredients cooked brilliantly and delivered in good time.

Star Inn

Old school real ale boozer next to the railway station in Glossop. Ideal for meeting friends. It was buzzing when me and the missus popped in for one. Loads of people nattering, just the way I like it. A proper chatting pub. A few ales on offer, the one I had was a session pale and was lovely. Basic decor nowt fancy. Recommended… ? ? ?

The Hunters Inn

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Hunters Inn. My husband and I shared the Sunday lunch sharing board — generous portions, beautifully cooked, and absolutely delicious. We also had a couple of pints of Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, which were spot on.
The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive throughout, making the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. A great pub with excellent food and service. We’ll definitely be back.

George and Dragon Charlesworth

Absolutely fabulous food. This was the best Sunday roast dinner we’ve ever had at a pub! Returned for dinner another night. Love we can take the dogs. Beautiful pub and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Just had the most amazing Nut Roast Served with all the traditional trimmings The nut roast was incredibly tasty and very moist. Woujd def recommend you visit for your Sunday lunch The staff were very friendly & knowledgeable

The Brook Tavern

I came in and Jodie looked after us all night, she polite, helpful, she was so lovely. She was the most nice bar staff I had ever met, she always came to the bar with a smile on her face and she always made sure I was okay, me and my friend were drunk and she offered us some water and she always made sure we were okay for drinks or she asked if we wanted to go home and she would help us out, she was the best bar staff ever♥️♥️

The Corner Cupboard

One of those rare places that oozes local character and is full of friendly, welcoming people. The owners Phil and Diane go above and beyond to welcome 2 people new to the area, upon entering your treated like family, make sure to bring your manners

Pizza King

The Best pizza in the area, and pretty good value too. Have been ordering from Pizza King for years now and it's never disappointed.
The chicken kebab is also really, really good!

Canella (Formerly Panaderia Blue)

Nice little café. We saw it in was pretty busy which is usually a good sign so popped in - very attentive service - we had a flat white and hot chocolate which were both very good indeed.

Kota Lapo Indonesian Street Food

This restaurant is an amazing hidden gem! We went on a Thursday night and a couple of the party had pre-ordered as they wanted Gado-Gado. We had oyster mushrooms for starters an a crispy batter and they were amazing. The food was a fantastic hit and you can tell they care about the food. We will be visiting again in the near future

Napoli Restaurant

6 of us visited for a family get together, we had a lovely evening, the food was delicious. I had tomato bruschetta, which was lovely and the Rigatoni Filleto which was one of the nicest pasta dishes I've ever eaten. The customer service is excellent.

Dukes Cafe Bar Glossop

Had a superb full English here definitely up there with the best breakfasts I’ve had. Everything was fresh, nicely cooked, and you can tell they don’t skimp on quality. Would happily recommend!

The Commercial Inn

A wonderful meal here for my wife and I, along with our youngest son who enjoyed exploring. We went for the roast dinner; a minted lamb shank and the beef. Both meals were amazing! Beautifully cooked, hot and fresh and hearty portions. Staff were friendly and attentive - particular shout out to Hannah and Joe today who made the whole experience positive and hassle free. My 2yo son went for a bit of a wander, staff and patrons interacted with him and made him laugh so he had a great time too. Pricing is very fair and we came away full, happy and relaxed. Parking is plentiful outside the pub, though be aware it is street parking rather than a carpark. Would happily recommend, and will be returning soon. Big thumbs up from us ?

Windy Harbour Farm Restaurant & B&B

Stayed here for a night away and wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely beautiful area and views right from your window, close by to the town centre.

The food was cooked fresh and tasted absolutely amazing!

Staff were all welcoming and friendly.

Would definitely recommend staying here if you get the opportunity.

Twig Hadfield

Nice coffee and friendly staff.
Item was missed off the order but this was rectified quickly.
Cafe was nice and clean, some thening seems to have been done but seemed to lack any atmosphere.
It was a quiet place to get a good coffee.

La Corrente Italian Restaurant & Bar

We came here for my 30th birthday a while ago and it was absolutely lovely from start to finish! There was quite a few of us and nobody had a bad word to say. The food was delicious!

Friendship Inn

Fabulous bar, very busy but was black friday. Staff kept up and no waiting at the bar. The decor is really nice and open fires made it homely.
Didn't try food so cant review that but would go back and try again!

The Bread Shop

I was in Glossop for 3 days, and went in for something for breakfast. Got a fried egg barm - and it was great. So over the rest of my visit I returned for more. I had a cheese toastie, a hot pastie, and 2 filled barms to get me through a long train journey home.
Everything was beyond expectations and great.
If you are in Glossop and feel a litle peckish I beg you to try this place out.

The Anchor Inn

Never been here before, unfortunately it was a funeral wake, so not very happy, but the food they laid on was very good, fresh and hot, plenty of staff to keep the place clean and tidy, it is only a smallish pub, but it fitted us all in (about 40) and just the right atmosphere, much better than sitting in a large function room. The parking can be a hit and miss it's only a small space at the back of the pub, but space around on the side streets.

The Crown Inn, Glossop

Spacious Sam smiths pub up a big hill from Glossop high street. Woman behind the bar was welcoming and chatty. Has a couple of rooms including a games room. Selection Sam smiths drinks on offer. Cracking old boozer.

Norfolk Arms

Well for a person with rather alot of allergies Abi was very patient with my ordering and ensured that i would be safe - (feel sorry for you having to get the book out sorry). When the food came out it was absolutely amazing!! (P.s due to allergies there is ingredients missing off the items pictured Credits to Ellie and Tracy in the kitchen amazing.. Thank you. We shall be back.

A'bout Thyme Coffee Lounge serving the best coffee and tea in Glossop

Honestly this place is super cute, i love the design and the overall atmosphere! it’s very cutesy and i love that. the service is also excellent, the waitress was attentive and kind. my only issue is the food, i understand this is a high street cafe in glossop so it won’t be the cheapest. however i found that the quality of the food didn’t match the price. very average and tasteless food, which was a let down. this sounds so mean but i just think if the quality of the food matched the quality of the general aesthetic and matched the prices, it would be much better!

Glossop Fish Bar

Lovely family style fish bar. Food is lovely , been here a few times now & food is always lovely.
It does have a small seating area if you wish to eat in or after you've eaten you can pop to one of the bars which are within walking distance for a drink.

The Surrey Arms

Most five star place I’ve ever been. The vibes were unreal the staff were amazing and the locals were so welcoming! Went for a walk with my mates for my birthday and came back here after and we got the best treatment! If I’m in Glossop I’ll always end up in the Surrey Arms!

I've been in with Dennis and is an amazing pub I enjoy it from the time I was in there with my partner dennis and he's family is a very nice friendly pub

The Smithy Fold - JD Wetherspoon

I went with my family for the day and we all decided to call into the Wetherspoon pub for something to eat and drink. The prices were good and the food tasted great. Well worth visiting to have something to eat and drink while in Glossop.

Subway

I'm celiac and subway is the only place I feel comfortable eating at because they change there gloves, have gluten free bread and make ur sandwiche on grease proof paper. The only thing I would recommend them doing is having pom bear crisps in as a celiac can't eat walkers so I can't have a meal

Greggs

We wer'e in Greggs a couple of weeks ago and served by a lovley woman ( cant remember name with glasses) and again yesterday, the nice thing was she remembered us and we had abit of a chat, really very pleasent, see you soon ?
