Came across this little gem as we were visiting the area for my mums 70th birthday absolutely beautiful food. Didn't stay here so can't comment on room's but staff were great and place was dog friendly and also offered a dog meal.

Most people find it easy to criticise businesses through reviews and not always fairly. Businesses such as Taj Balti are really hurting under these current restrictions. They are just trying to survive at the moment, never mind profits!!
Albeit this little takeaway in Glossop still produces exceptional quality food and generous portions.
The Lamb tikka madras was a perfect combination of taste and spice, and the meat was juicy and lean.
Please support this little gem of a business cos’ They’re really trying so hard.
Well done guys.
Ps salt the onion slightly more in the onion rice ???

We love Burgerfy, even had it twice in one week after being away on holiday. It is, in my opinion the best burger in Glossop. I always get the Smash burger, my husband the clucking original and the classic for my boys. The fries are a nice big shareable portion as well!

Wonderful! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Took my order in a nice mannor and made me feel very welcome from the start. Plenty of seating to choose from. I ordered a breakfast and Tea, both were amazing. Plenty of food at this Cafe! Compared to the last Tesco cafe (where I had more fingers then beans on the plate) this really bumped up my recommendation for Tesco Cafes.

The food here is honestly the best I've had at any Tesco Cafe and I'm quite the Tesco breakfast person when traveling. You can tell it was made with love rather then thrown together and launched at you. Plenty of beans, egg was perfect with a nice runny yolk, bacon was not too fatty like most places, hash browns were out of this world (share your secrets please) and toast was perfect. Honestly it was like was waking up on a Sunday morning running down stairs to see your mother has made you a English breakfast!

My only issue that could be completely down to me as it was my choice. The table in the back corner. It's very low - like when in the seat my knees are higher so it made eating a little uncomfortable. Looking around through there is only one other table like this so in the end it was my choice, but would be wonderful if it it was just a tad bit higher!

Overall if you are like me and staying in the Stockport area wondering which Tesco Cafe should I head over for breakfast then choose this one. I'm saving this location for next time I'm down south as honestly it was worth every second, penny and full stomach!

Parking: Plenty of spaces and location is great and easy to get to.

1st time ordering off Glossop Eats. Had a 20% offer on so we ordered a varietyoff food e.g. chicken burgers (fussy kid gave it 9 out of 10!!), a mixed madras which was spicy but not too spicy as a madras shouks be and a mega kebab. Food came quickly and was hot. One criticism was that I asked for no donner on the notes but that was ignored, but it was actually quite tasty donner meat! For my fussy kids to rate a place is a great accomplishment!

Finding a local takeaway that delivered to me offering great food has been difficult as at best most of the local takeaways are average at best. I’ve tried most of the takeaways in Glossop including a couple of new ones that people were raving on about but I didn’t rate them that good so won’t be returning. I thought I’d give Norfolk Pizza a try and I’m so glad I did! I’ve never been a huge pizza lover however these guys have converted me. The pizzas in my opinion are definitely, by a country mile, the best in Glossop. The pizza base is the perfect ratio of not being too thick and doughy with the crust just right not to be too dry. The toppings for the pizza are, again in my opinion correctly rationed and not just slopped on top. It’s an excellent example on how to build a perfect pizza. The pizza’s therefore are delicious and much tastier than other rival takeaways including dominoes. In terms of delivery, the speed of service is excellent and the pizzas are always delivered piping hot by the drivers who always have a smile on their face. In terms of value for money, I would say that it’s really cheap for the quality of food they serve. This place is so good that now I have become a regular. Like all humans mistakes happen and on one occasion I paid for pepperoni on my pizza and they forgot to put it on. I rang them to let them know and rather than being a a*hole and demanding they resend the pizza, I asked if they could put extra pepperoni on next time. The staff were so apologetic and I suspect relieved that I didn’t make too much of a fuss and when I ordered the next time they remembered and gave me extra pepperoni. This tells me that they genuinely care about the food they serve and want to look after their customers. In addition to their excellent pizzas, the kebabs are damn tasty too and again you get a big portion of meat. Whilst I do enjoy hot chilli sauce with a kebab, the mild sauce they serve is excellent. It’s a homemade sauce that is unique and not something that you would find in any other takeaway. My review is based on my experience of around 10 deliveries and although I have given quite a lengthy review, I think that this takeaway deserves a lot of credit for making me a pizza lover and consistently delivering me hot delicious exceptional food and this is why I consider it to be the best takeaway in Glossop.Finally, I would strongly recommend that you order directly from their own website as it’s simple to use and you get free delivery. This is better than ordering from the likes of just eat as there is also no service charge so your meal is cheaper for you and better for the takeaway as they don’t pay commission which means they can keep serving better ingredients which ultimately makes it better for the customers. My husband and I regularly visit rushi or alternatively we order take away. It's by far our favorite curry house in the area. The food is always fantastic and the service is top notch. We quite often get Shaz as our server and he cannot do enough for us. Usually we will get a variant of the tandoori sizzler which is delicious. \n100% would recommend dining here.

went to the george and dragon for a Sunday lunch. the pub is warm and has traditional charm, the service was top notch. staff were polite and welcoming. my Sunday lunch was lovely: had and option of beef or gammon, golden home made Yorkshire, crispy roast potatoes, a selection of veg, all drenched in thick gravey. It was absolutely delicious and has all the essential qualities of a proper pub roast. the portion was generous, top tier Sunday roast. I will definitely be going back.

I came in and Jodie looked after us all night, she polite, helpful, she was so lovely. She was the most nice bar staff I had ever met, she always came to the bar with a smile on her face and she always made sure I was okay, me and my friend were drunk and she offered us some water and she always made sure we were okay for drinks or she asked if we wanted to go home and she would help us out, she was the best bar staff ever♥️♥️

Really nice cosy, and warm pub! Both wood burners were lit and making the whole pub lovely and toasty. Good beer selection. We were very surprised that we were the only people there at 8.30pm on a Saturday. It's been very busy on previous visits but well worth the trek up there.

Honestly this place is super cute, i love the design and the overall atmosphere! it’s very cutesy and i love that. the service is also excellent, the waitress was attentive and kind. my only issue is the food, i understand this is a high street cafe in glossop so it won’t be the cheapest. however i found that the quality of the food didn’t match the price. very average and tasteless food, which was a let down. this sounds so mean but i just think if the quality of the food matched the quality of the general aesthetic and matched the prices, it would be much better!

Truly authentic Indonesian taste! We had the Bakmi Siantar, and it was absolutely spot-on—just like what you'd get back home in Indonesia. Do note that you need to pre-order it a day in advance, but trust me, it’s worth the wait. We also tried the salt and pepper tofu, bakwan jagung, and babi panggang—all of them were delicious and perfectly seasoned.

Service was just as impressive. The owners were kind enough to open the restaurant just for us, even though they had originally planned to close that day to move some things. After dinner, we even had a lovely chat with the owner—such a warm and welcoming experience.

Great bunch of people at this pub, and the best landlady - Dawn. Thursday night is quiz night which is a proper quiz, written answers, plenty of time to talk and socialise. Thursday night quiz usually ends with heads-or-tails or a round of cards. Prize for the winner. It’s always a great laugh and a warm welcome. A proper community and a proper pub.

The pies and cakes are gorgeous.

You MUST visit this place if you are visiting or just passing through Glossop.

I went for a steak and it was done beautifully. I had quite particular requests regarding my meal, but the new duty manager Josh ensured they were carried out, and carried out they were perfectly. He is a credit to the pub and chefs are good at what they do. I certainly recommend their steak and can only presume they put the same care into their other food.

I'm celiac and subway is the only place I feel comfortable eating at because they change there gloves, have gluten free bread and make ur sandwiche on grease proof paper. The only thing I would recommend them doing is having pom bear crisps in as a celiac can't eat walkers so I can't have a meal

We have eaten here before in the restaurant but never tried home delivery, so just tried a home delivery for the first time - it was brilliant, delivered for free on time. Good sized potions, sensible price, and great quality. We had NYC steakhouse burger, and poulet a la ail gourmet fries - both were top class ingredients, cooked perfectly and with no waste. Will definately be using this place regularly. Looking forward to what's on the ever changing menu next week.

What a great little boozer ! Called in after being up on Bleaklow and was in desperate need of hydration. Really friendly staff and who doesn't love a pub dog. A proper back street pub taking you back to the good old days of pubs.
Sat inside but was offered the beer garden if we wanted to bring the dog in as he's not sociable !

Will be our definite post walk port of call when back in the Peaks this year .
