Best roast dinner I've had, consistently good and nice chilled out

Spent my second Christmas day here for an absolutely lovely meal again. Brilliant place, great staff, and fantastic food. They did themselves proud making sure every had a fab time, and it was much appreciated. Whether it's christmas day or any other time, it is always friendly and welcoming, and whether it's the wood fired pizza through the week or roast on a sunday, the food is spot on. Also great for a relaxing drink, an all around great place.

Thank you so much for making our Christmas day special, the food was stunning! My nanna ate the most she's eaten in years and all the staff worked so hard, it didn't go unnoticed, thank you for looking after us all, it must be so hard to do your job 364 days a year but doing it on Christmas day must be especially hard but you guys absolutely smashed it!

After having an unprecedented workload thrust upon myself I had no time or energy to create my show stopping Sunday roast …… but knew exactly what I needed! The Victoria Lounge is THE BEST ROAST DINNER IN TOWN!

I phoned to make an order for collection, to which they told me I could come in and make an order and they'd prepare for me, which is fair enough in general, however I have autism and suffer extreme anxiety in busy public places, so I asked "Would it be possible for me to order now over the phone and come collect it when it's ready? It's just I have autism and am not able to wait in a busy restaurant - I only live down the road so I would happily come and pick it up as soon as it's ready". She said "I'm sorry, but my boss said you'd have to come in first" so I said "Well... I don't think I'll be able to make an order then" to which she simply said "Ok then, bye!" in a cheery voice and then hung up. I was in shock at their failure to make the smallest effort to provide an accessible service for neurodivergent people, so after a few minutes I called back and asked to speak to the boss. I quickly told him what had happened, mentioned again that I have autism and would just like to come and pick up the order when it's ready so I don't have to be in the busy restaurant for longer than I need to. He told me I'd have to come in and wait, then handed the phone over to a third person, who said "You're autistic?" he said in a tone that felt challenging and suspicious, to which I simply said yes. "So you feel uncomfortable coming into the busy restaurant and waiting for your order?" "Yes" "Well what we can do is take your order over the phone and then you come to pick it up when it's ready". So I said "That's what I was trying to ask for in the first place... but after all this hassle and being made to feel like a burden simply for having autism, I don't really want to support this business." To which he said bluntly and unempathetically, "To be honest mate, if you won't be making an order we're very busy". I responded saying I'll have to leave them a bad review then, and he hung up on me. All I wanted was to order a pizza, wait 10 minutes, then walk 30 seconds down the road to collect it. Unfortunately for them that was too much to ask, and their policy is so inflexible that they won't even make a simple adaptation for a disabled customer.

As a returning customer and I once again enjoyed a superbly cooked pizza. I visited as a group of eight and we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
