Went to visit friends playing a gig last night. The moment I walked in the atmosphere was tense. A couple of gents pushing each other. Then what I assume was the landlord asking one of them to pop outside. I didn't witness anything but then the customer was bleeding from his head and had to be taken home. I had no idea what transpired but tennants are suppose to look after the customer and not get embroiled in aggressive drunk behavior. They should show good examples. I left earlier than I'd have liked due to increasing tensions and aggressive customers adding to the uncomfortable atmosphere. Not somewhere I'd visit again anytime soon.

Kind staff and good food. Offer gluten free pie and it’s very good but slightly sweet.

Great pub, we had come from out of the area for the night, the staff were lovely and the vibe was fantastic, friendly lively atmosphere.

Popped in early evening for a Pie and Mash dinner and a pint. The Pie minister menu was mouthwatering, we had the MOO and Blue pies and mash with mushy peas which were really nice the gravy was spot on... Service with a smile, bar staff were friendly, good honest down to earth pub with great Pies, reasonably priced and a real log burning fire which was roaring away to keep us nice and toasty..
