Good all round tea room. Quiet garden on the back with sun and shade. Quick service and a good choice of food, in my case gluten free.Excellent gluten free cakes, very light.

Dear Cakey Fans!If you had to ask me: Stewie, given half a chance, in which cake parlour across the UK would you like to roll around naked dripping in cake?Well, not only would you be surprised by how often I get asked that question*, but I actually do have an answer. And that is a lovely little café nestled away in Hathersage deep in the heart of Derbyshire by the name of Cintra’s.Now I know you’re chomping at the bit to know what cake I’d like to smear all over myself, and let’s face it, there’s plenty of succulent treats to choose from. Gary, the chef, makes the best cakes around by a country mile and honestly, at about thirty minutes, it’s well worth a trip out from Sheffield to sample what he has to offer. The cakes, that is (not Gary). So, on the cake front, Cintra’s does not fail to deliver. There’s a selection of yummy things to tempt you when you walk through the door (which in my case is practically entrapment!).You’ve got the usual favourites: Coffee and Walnut, Coffee, Lemon, etc., which are all scrummy, but by FAR the popular favourite is the raspberry and almond, which is really light and moist and rich with flavour ( you can really taste the almond). It’s delicious!I could wax lyrical all day about the raspberry scones, the lovely tea with honey, the sandwiches, and the frankly yummy meat pie, but the cakes really are something else. I’ve got a few more places to try this season, but right now, I give Cintra’s the highest possible marks for their cake.Cake Score: Five NOMS. Well worth a visit.Just tell Julie Stewie sent you.More reviews soon!*It’s once. OK. Just once.

Nice tearooms selling a full menu. I had cake and coffee. There was a selection of about 7 cakes and they all looked nice. Good selection of teas, coffees and other hot and cold drinks. Seating indoors and outdoors.Parking: Main village car a short walk away. Limited on street parking.

Beautiful place to eat . The food and staff were great ! My vegan breakfast was a little undersized for £11 . The five other non vegan meals were thoroughly enjoyed . Great tea and coffee with an oatmeal option .Dietary restrictions: Had vegan all day Breakfast

Had afternoon tea here with my daughter last Saturday. As she's heavily pregnant and careful what she's eating and I'm just a fussy eater lol this place was absolutely perfect. You get a choice of what sandwiches and cake you want. You also get these amazing raspberry scones which are the best I've ever tasted with raspberry jam and clotted cream.I chose the ham with chilli jam sandwiches and the blueberry and lemon cake which were both delicious.I would highly recommend this place for the food and the lovely staff who were very friendly.

Such a lovely place to go. Really friendly staff and very welcoming.Lovely homemade cakes and plenty of room to sit round the back if you have a dog. They even give your dog a gravy bone ( or 2 ) .can't rate them enough.
Whenever me and my friends get out walking in the Peaks, and we fancy a breakfast there is always one place we head to, and it's here. The staff are so friendly and the food is great. Not yet had any cake, but seeing the selection there, no idea how I have not yet given in. Love the place.

Just left Cintras cafe with my friend, her dog and my son. Its our first visit and what an absolute delight. The cafe was very busy but the welcome was friendly and we were shown to a table under a covered area at the top of the garden which was ideal with the dog. Had delicious breakfasts served on hot plates, followed by two slices of homemade butterscotch cake which was devine. Would highly reccommend Cintras and we will definately be back.Vegetarian options: Very nice chilli jam

Been ok in the past, but today we were moved from the table in the nice garden area to a mucky paved bit just outside the door, only for the next customer to be seated in the same area we were moved from (which was obviously gong to happen). In general we were not made welcome from arrival. If they were too busy to accept a larger group a simple explanation would have sufficed, rather than act as though we were being done a favour and not paying customers. Very slow with the order too.
