Colemans deli
5 Main Rd, Hathersage, Hope ValleyWow! Top mark's for choice and quality.Always busy throughout the day but is well stocked. Be prepared to wait a short while for take outs but it's worth it so don't let it put you off. Big selection on sandwiches, freshly made salads, savory pastries. The cake selection is mouthwatering and a notch up from the norm. Good selection of take out coffee, and a daily soup is on offer. While waiting they have a range of jams, chutneys and tea etc and a small variety of loaves on offer.I've eaten inside once for brunch, it's such a popular place it's difficult to get a table and the space is limited though there are larger tables with umbrellas outside. The eat in menu has a great selection to choose from. Quality ingredients carefully prepared and presented. Prices expected for the standard of food they have on offer. Staff are all helpful and friendly considering the volume of customers they are courteous and consistent in their customer service. Minimal parking at most times but this place is mostly frequented by walkers visiting the area.

Eyre Arms
Peak District National Park, Chesterfield Road, Hope ValleyBeautiful pub after undergoing extensive refurbishment, in the heart of the Peak District. Family friendly environment with live sports and open fire. Busy with locals, family’s, walkers and doggo’s. Have visited before but this was our first time dining. Family of seven from 81 down to 9, everyone was made welcome and disabled access was good. Today was Sunday with a choice of roast meats. Between the table we had Roast Pork and Roast Beef, all the trimmings including home made yorkies, stuffing and some amazing roast veg. Cauliflower cheese was out of this world. All washed down with a nice bottle of Shiraz and a few pints. Dessert of choice was a classic syrup sponge and custard which I really didn’t need but god I enjoyed. Even ordered a second pork dinner as take out on paying the bill to eat later it was that good. Highly recommend.

Maazi Hathersage
6 The Square, Main Rd, Hathersage, Hope ValleyA must visit for dining in or taking out. Popular on Fridays and through the weekends, quieter times to eat in during the weekdays. While I waited for my take out i enjoyed a drink and chatted with a fellow foodie lover, there is ample seating available and the service is very warm and friendly. The atmosphere is perfect, not too dark that you can't read the menu and there is no overly loud background music. Plenty of tables for eating in and great waiters that are willing to explain the menu in more detail for those who wish to explore their taste buds, they offer a wide selection of choices. Maazi has been consistently excellent for quality and service and I have been visiting regularly for the last 6 months. The meat dishes are generous and tender, and not overly oily. Parking can be found relatively easy in the evening.

Eyam, Foolow, Hope ValleyHad a weekend stay with my sister in the self catering apartment. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food is outstanding (we ate on Saturday evening and had breakfast Sunday morning). The apartment is spacious and clean. Just be aware there is noise from the pub in the apartment. It does go quiet once the pub closes.Rooms: Rooms are clean and modern.Nearby activities: Walking, Chatsworth isn’t far, Eyam a 2 mile walkWalkability: So many walks around The Bull.Food & drinks: Food is outstanding. The Moon Inn at Stoney Middleton
High St, Stoney Middleton, Hope ValleyOwners are really nice and the food (pheasant) was lovely. Stopped in the Mason suite and the only slight inconvenience is the kitchen extraction verbarrated through to the room. It's turned off circa 11pm and back on at 6.30am. Happily stop there again but a different room.
