Walking through the door really is just the start of the experience. The decor is classy, the smell of the food definitely wets the appetite! Staff were friendly and professional. Then there is the star of the show-the food. Great choice, not over priced and delicious. We were all very satisfied with our choices. I had bruschetta starter, Sea Bream main and , of course, Tiramisu! The sauce with the Sea Bream was perfect. As was the fish. Our friends had the Lasagne-proper chunks of meat! The Tiramisu, I felt, was a large portion ( not complaining but couldn’t eat it all!) very creamy , I like it to have a stronger flavour but was lovely. Great start to all our evening. Thankyou!!!

The Anglers Rest, Bamford
Taggs Knoll, Bamford, Hope ValleyOnly stayed for a couple of ales, Deception and an IPA from Eyam brewery which I can't remember the name of.
It was curry night and only wish I could have stayed; needed to rush off for a train. Food menu looks interesting and there were a few diners in while I was there.
Dog friendly, as you may be able to tell from the pictures. Dog treats on the bar and bowls available.

Eyre Arms
Peak District National Park, Chesterfield Road, Hope ValleyWas extremely disappointed we booked this online arrived on time was seated and left for 10 minutes when the waitress came and took our drinks order then waited a further 30 minutes after which a member of our party went to find someone to take our food order - the staff members were stood at the bar on their phones and chatting…… the place wasn’t busy either …. other than our party of 3, there was one other table of 7 who also had to go looking for staff when they wanted condiments in the end they gave up as there dinners were getting cold …… 45 minutes later and food arrived…. Which was promptly send back as it was only lukewarm we paid extra for cauliflower cheese …. Don’t bother, again lukewarm overcooked cauliflower and a powder taste no cheese in sight, absolutely swimming in gravy waitress came to ask how the food was and explained our concerns and disappointment to which she agreed. We didn’t eat the roast dinners however 1 person had the scampi and that was lovely. See pics what you see on pubs website and what we got.

6 The Square, Main Rd, Hathersage, Hope ValleyWe have holidayed in Hathersage for 4 years. I’m gobsmacked how we never gave Maazi a try. We love Indian cuisine. From the moment we were welcomed through the doors, the service, the food, the ambience, absolutely first class. And the icing on the cake, the very reasonable prices. Visited Castleton twice a year since covid and always book the Castle pub . The pub was understaffed but Ruby was so busy without being neglectful to us . She was amazing and always kept a smile on her face . She reminded me and my wife of how good Caitlin was previously .

Three Roofs Cafe
The Island, Castleton, Hope ValleyA lovely and cozy place with a warm atmosphere. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious and the portions were quite generous. I gave it 4 stars because unfortunately there were a few items on the menu that we wanted to order, but they were unavailable. Other than that, the place left a very pleasant impression. We will definitely come back to have breakfast there.

The Bridge Inn
Calver Bridge, Hope ValleyWarm atmosphere, authentic food locally sourced, always great vibes.
We have eaten here a few times under the new ownership and enjoyed every time. The new owners are great fun and cannot do enough for you, just genuinely good people trying to offer a great experience.
The Traditional Sunday roast was spot on, no skimping on the good stuff either. Arrived piping hot, and in record time too!
Great selection of beers also, looking forward to our next visit!

The Stones, Castleton, Hope ValleyExceptional fish and chips! Do not hesitate. Would have taken a photo of the food, but it all got eaten far too quickly. Definitely get the gravy with the chips. Very reasonably priced, 5x fish, 4x Chips £55, can’t go wrong.

Will return to try the battered pineapple battered oreo and the Yorkshire fish cakes. We visit a different chip shop every week and this one is the best so far. Look forward to returning

Unit 2, 8 Castleton Rd, Hope, Hope ValleyI came from Barnsley specifically because my friends wanted me to try this place. The service was amazing and the food was soooo much better than I expected! Really good prices too, I highly recommend stopping by this place and grabbing a sandwich or 2 if you ever have the chance, you won’t regret it!

Main Rd, Hathersage, Hope ValleyWe popped in here completely unplanned, and were warmly welcomed by the owner who has just taken over the family business. The food didn’t take long, and once we got home the food was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and one of the best takeaway curries we’ve ever had. 10/10. Priced very reasonably too. If you like your spicy curries then this place is a great choice.

Main Rd, Hathersage, Hope ValleyI'm a biker of a good few years and love to get out at weekends with friends, one of the best rides out is Hathersage and it wouldn't be complet without a trip to cintras cafe in Hathersage it's probably the best cafe going, the staff are friendly the breakfasts are amazing and it's a very biker friendly place well worth a visit please try

Warmest of welcomes by the young lady, tentative with a above and beyond approach. Young lady supporting evening meal was also tentative with both ladies surpassing our expectations. Bedroom was clean and comfortable with all the basics covered. Overall we an a lovely stay (exceptional).

The Bull at Foolow
Eyam, Foolow, Hope ValleyWe stayed here for a couple of nights in the B&B. The room was really clean and very comfortable. Tea and coffee available in your room with top ups just outside with fresh milk in a mini-fridge. Breakfasts were great and the staff were very accommodating if you wanted to swap items that were on the menu.
They also have an apartment with self catering facilities. We had a quick look in here and it was lovely, looked really cosy in the lounge if you just wanted a night in or only doing a short day out.
Meals in the pub were excellent, portions were generous and quality fantastic. Nice ales too! Couldn't fault it at all and would certainly book again.

Clodhall Ln, Calver, Hope ValleyWe had no idea this was here, but were pleasantly surprised to find it at the start of our walk. Already had sandwiches with us but the sausage rolls looked too good to resist, and they were fabulous. The nicest sausage roll I've ever had. The peanut caramel shortbread was also beautiful. Personally would like a slightly stronger tasting coffee but that's just my own taste, it was perfectly well made. Friendly service too. We'll be back!

Swimming Pool, Oddfellows Rd, Hathersage, Hope ValleyI went with my sister and young grand children yesterday, the food was lovely, definitely recommend them. But there was an incident as I were taking the young ones to the toilet, an elderly man who was sat down made an awful and disgusting comment to me as we walked past him. He asked if he could join me in the toilet! My grandsons didn't really hear him but my 10 year old niece did,and she was shocked! As we walked back out the man was walking out,so I told him the comment he made was disgusting especially in front of children, his excuse was he was only joking! I did tell the members of staff about what happened and they said they would pass this on to management. From what they said he was a regular customer in there.I hope someone tells this man that he's barred from there!

The Square, Eyam, Hope ValleyQuaint Tea Room , offering all kinds of objet d'art ( Things for the home , ladies bags , puzzles , and artwork ).
Offering a great pot of tea , and toasted tea cake ( Tea pot looks very stylish , but suffers from style
