First and last time ordering from Papa Johns.Only gave one star as none isn't an option. Waited an hour for cold pizza, vile chewy crusts. Never again.

We're usually really pleased with the service and food from Ilkeston papa John's, but last night we had such a poor experience. Ordered 2 xxl pizzas and used reward points to get a free side. An hour and a half later and 2 hungry kids who were ready to go to bed, and there was no sign of the pizza. Called them, only to be told that the order hadn't gone through, even though they told me the address when I gave them my name. Was advised to re-order and that the initial order would be cancelled (even though they said that they hadn't received it?) And that a refund would be received within 5 days. Reordered online, paid another £35 but couldn't get the free side as the reward points had already been used on the initial order. Pizza delivered.....received 2 large pizzas, not xxl. So £70 spent (albeit half SHOULD be refunded soon), 2 hours later and still haven't received what we actually paid for. Really disappointed and it's put me off ordering again.

If you want to wait for 98 minutes for your pizza and enjoy it cold then this is the place for you ?it’s not good for us we don’t like cold food. I could have made it from scratch quicker and it would have been warm and edible unlike what we received NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!! BE WARNED

Second time that you've missed my hot buffalo sauce off my order, so now have to eat dry chicken wings.Pizzas are lovely and delivery drivers are always polite

Although described here as a "restaurant", it's a takeaway ! If you're looking for a restaurant, go elsewhere. Collected from store because hungry. Nice Pizza. Thin crust variant perhaps better than filled. Not especially cheap, but I keep going back, so they must be doing something right.

Always a treat to go to "our" Papa John's. They arent the closest but they are the best imo. All the staff are great but I usually have the pleasure of being served by Alex and she is always bright & friendly. It tastes just like the Papa Johns I left behind in the USA.

I walked a mile and a half to the store only to be told I had to order online once I got there but I told her “I don’t like electrickery so I don’t own a smart phone”, she laughed and replied “well stop living in the Stone Age old man”Honestly Johns, I don’t know how a regular patron could be spoken to like that. She inferred I was a Luddite who’s stuck in his ways and another female customer next to me raised her eyebrows as if to say she were in agreement with the cashier! It hurts to recall… emotionally I mean.The pizza was a sturdy 6/10. It tasted how you’d imagine a cartoon-sketched pizza would taste like. Garlic sauce was an irradiated toxic yellow colour whilst having the texture of ajax bleach and looked unfit for human consumption.
