“Ordered lasagne as didn't want a big meal, well large slice of lasagne 4 pieces of garlic bread and a lovely salad and service was good, can't comment to much on atmosphere as not many in at the time
Old fashioned pub that wouldn't suit younger patrons but I loved it.”

“We went for a late lunch at the end of a hike and were so impressed, the staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was delicious. Nearly all the menu is gluten free or has gluten free alternatives which was amazing. They also catered for dairy free. We will definitely be going back. The new owners are doing a good job with this lovely old pub.

“As I'm staying in the area I just had to revisit this old place. Probably nearly 30 years since I was last here. (And what a mad time that was, my mate lived in the village and we were always in the bar as soon as it was opened... usually before heading into Ashbourne and getting silly drunk).
Anyway it's how I remembered it. And still jugs instead of taps. Wonderful. And good beers. Brought back some good memories.”
