No longer George's-now Caudel & Dorsal. The food was fine, but expensive for what it is. Got fish, chips, pie, battered sausage and fish bites. Went back to query my receipt as the total was more than the items added together but sadly it was a printing error.Service fine, but no greeting or acknowledgement on arrival on either visits.

Wow! Just been there for small fish chips and peas for £10 and got hardly any chips, they use a small bowl to portion me chips now, used to like it there, but shan't bother now.

Have been before and chips were disgusting. Have been twice recently since its been taken over and its lovely. The gravy is the best

Takeaway - sat in the car to eat them They were of a very poor quality. The chips were cold, and fish was not cooked properly. Service not very good either. It will l be a long time before we visit again.

Amazing chippy. Changed the chicken nugget recipe though, preferred the soft batter way more. Please change back.

Oh dear..what is happening? Been eating here in and takeaway for many years..now..a hint of economy of basic products and presentation. Across the menu..Hit and miss chips. Sometimes good other times small, stood too long before serving, onion gravy? No fresh onions in it...thin and tasteless.Tartar sauce..smaller pot in takeaway and not fresh or tasty any more etc etc.In the restaurant , noticeably less busy than previously...fish good, peas spooned on the plate, and that gravy..in a small jug. Where have the teapots gone? Tea in a cup with a do it yourself teabag to remove. Staff still manage to smile and have pride in their work..it must be hard for them these days. High prices for average food. Sadly.

Saturday early evening, 5 adults 2 children, sat for fish and chips. Great service, great food, good prices. Recommeded.

Went today and George's is usually very enjoyable. The Fish batter was chewy and so was the fish. The chips were stale and the price was unreal. £10.40 for fish and chips is ridiculous. Compared to the quality the price didn't pair up. Had it been excellent the price could have been forgiven.

Best fish and chips in the area. They do meal deals which include fish, chip and a side. Also have options to go large but it's not really needed as the portions are really filling.Great value for sustainably sourced fish.Lots of other options too, the home made fish cakes are nice and nearly like the ones from my home city of Hull. There are options for kids and seniors too.Staff are always friendly. Will continue to use as we know we're getting quality food for a great price.Shame they have stopped the loyalty card system though.

Had fish and chips today very greasy and left a taste in your mouth.got one small fish and one large and they were both the same size. Mushy peas were watery and not very nice.

The quality of food appears to have gone up since they've been taken over. I noticed a steep decline throughout the pandemic which was disappointing since my other favourite chip shops haven't had this issue. Went yesterday and it was better, not quite their old standard but they're getting there slowly thankfully.
