Fantastic food and service. Table booked for 7.30 but arrived early, waitress was happy to sit us at our table 20mins early. Gave us plenty of time to look at the menu before taking our order. Food was freshly prepared & brought our promptly. Quality was outstanding. Will definitely be looking at eating here again.

Visited here for a date night with the missus. After all the Christmas shopping, etc, we wanted some time for us. First time for either of us visiting here, and it certainly won't be our last. The service was immaculate, and the timing between starter and main courses was perfect. The food itself was cooked perfectly and at a very high standard. Prices were extremely reasonable given the quality, quantity, and overall taste of each dish. It's the first time in a long time where we've had to admit defeat and say no to the dessert menu.I strongly recommend the pork belly for starters and the lamb for the main.

Had an absolutely beautiful meal tonight and tried the black pudding scotch egg and it didnt disappoint, all courses were well presented and superb service In a lovely setting Can't wait to return and hope they rotate the menu on a regular basis

Been here once before and had a good experience. This time unfortunately was pretty poor. The one element of the food which is great is the meat but the accompaniments were really poor. My daughter had a side of macaroni cheese which I cannot believe they let out of the kitchen - pasta dish was complete mush and there was zero cheese sauce making it crispy on the edges but a mushy mess underneath - just horrible! The gravy was watery thin so we had to ask for some to be made thicker. The roast potatoes seem d to have only been ‘crisped up’ on one side (I really struggle to understand how restaurants can’t make a proper roast potato)! And the service was not great - we had to try and catch the waitresses eye constantly to get any type of assistance. A real shame as they can really cook meat well…

I am so so disappointed from our visit to the butchers this weekend. This was our 2nd visit, if I was to rate our first visit it would be 5* across the board.This visit was absolutely terrible, we booked a table for 5pm and on arrival the restaurant was totally empty. After a few minutes only 3 other tables were seated. They sat us in a line across the back booth, the silence was so uncomfortable and the place was freezing. We had to ask to make orders as the servers were not to standard.We were told that a number of dishes were not available, and when food arrived there was an error with the side dishes, and when corrected were very late to the table and again not to standard.The worst part of all of this experience is that my partner was drinking 0% beer topped with lemonade, the 2nd drink arrived and we noticed that it was in fact alcohol after consuming. This was totally inexcusable, and no effort was made to apologise for this error.1 hour and 10 minutes after sitting down to our table, staff were gathered around the bar waiting to go home with coats and bags on, the lights were flickered on and off to notify closing, and even turned off in the toilets which were being used by some of our party! When we arrived we were not told that they were closing and to be aware of the timings.For a very very expensive dining experience this level of service is simply unacceptable.
