By far the best McDonald's I have been to. The milkshakes are full of flavour compared to any other McDonald's who sell basically flavorless strawberry, chocolate & banana. Took time to write this because this one in Matlock is that good. Every other McDonald's needs to upgrade to these standards!

Always have problems when ordering food hear it’s always either cold or completely the wrong order or things missing off the order. Had 2 bad experiences at the drive through, first time was waiting ages through the drive through then when the order finally came it was someone else’s order, ended up eating it anyway because of the long wait and then the second time, got to the window to collect my breakfast order and a young girl with black hair was about to give me someone else’s order and asked me what I had ordered she seemed to have quite an attitude and screwed the top of the bag round and shoved it in my hand.

Drive through experience:double cheeseburger very good and hot 10/10, halloumi cheese fries were soggy in grease, not left to rest and drain of excess oil after frying, so not crispy 03/10, I had to throw them away in the end. Vanilla milkshake 10/10 as usual ?.Unfortunately, the drive-through service was a little on the slow side. I was told to wait around the front, but there were no waiting bays free, so I had to block the road for a few minutes. Vary rarely do they have any McFlurries or milk shakes, this isn’t a one off it happens on a regular basis, staff say it is an ice cream machine IT issue ?????????????. Time for a new machine I think.

Review 1: Foods always cold or burnt for some reason. The drive thru is always slow and they make you wait in a bay for EVERYTHING, even just a cheese burger. Your staff need to change up a gear!!Review 2: Quicker than it was but still not what you'd expect of a fast food restaurant. Presentation of the food scruffy, bad almost thrown in your car, never any receipt or napkins. It gains an extra star.Review3: Not changed, if anything got worse. I waited 15 minutes stuck in drive thru, no apologies, no explanation. Is this fast food? Nope not in Matlock. Looses a star (now 2).

I ordered a big mac meal , a happy meal with a fruit shoot and a book, and a wrap. The food came minus the book and a toy in its place and minus the fruit shoot, they did have the books because we changed and got the fruit shoot too, who served us was to busy talking to watch what she was doing hence the mistakes, a big mac now is reminiscent of a wimpy burger from the 80s. It was so small, just call it a mac , big is out of the equation, disappointed..... won't be going again ..
