A very nice few pints of Hartington IPA.

This is an absolute gem of a pub. They have a wide and constantly changing range of beers. All beautifully kept and served by a friendly and extremely knowledgeable landlord and staff. Certain worth a detour to visit. There is a wide range of whiskeys behind the bar as well. And they host music events in a function room.

Great choice of beer, friendly owners. There's normally a good range of beers from dark to IPA.There is also a stove so it's cosy. We'll worth a visit as it an unusual traditional pub. It's unusual as entering you feel like you are going into someone's house. They also serve decent wine, cider, soft drinks and also hot drinks made to order. If you like whisky Jim has a decent selection to choose from. This is not a pub to visit for a meal but there are normally decent things to snack on.

Fabulous back street boozer, unchanged and who would want to change it? A great selection of real ale and bottled beers neatly displayed at the rear of the barn. With its own micro brewery I would recommend a visit

Steve Elliff

Great choice of well kept beers, friendly landlord, and cheap pool!

What a find whilst on holiday, super friendly landlord and customers, and good real ale choices that were kept and served well ?.

Possibly the best pub in the area but certainly the best kept beer. Friendly and welcoming old school pub with a landlord whose attention to serving the best pint possible makes this a real gem of a pub. Whiskey collection is not half bad either. It’s a joy to drink in this pub.

What a lovely little pub, truly old school but the beer is next level. The pub has an open fire and sends you right back in time, the poeple where lovely right down to the bartender and the local lads and lasses just enjoying a pint or two. A wonderful chcarecter to this pub that has been lost though the commercialisation of most pubs in Britain today. A truly special spot, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Travelote

no nonsense chat dominated pub serving good quality beers and wines. Landlord on site serving so no ambiguity.
