Just had a great night here. Me and the hubby decided to come to Matlock for a couple of days and nearly passed this bar on the main road. Barman really friendly and helpful, offered to help us get a taxi back to our bed and breakfast. Drinks reasonably priced and a great vibe. Pub as a free juke box so you can play whatever music you like. It was quiet tonight as its midweek but still had a great time. Will be back every night until we leave.

The security here is completely overboard. A friend of mine took his shirt off for a moment as a joke an the bouncer instantly grabbed him and wrestled him in to the middle of the busy A6 road. Do not go to this place. No friendliness at all!!! Go to Monk or 2010 instead and you will enjoy it much much more!!!

Really enjoyed the rock vibe in this place. Great music, great drinks and great staff. Relived my childhood rock music in here. Great vibe

Called in here & asked woman behind bar "do you do a Cocktail called Old fashioned" she replied yes Ok two of those then please (£12) paid & went to sit down in the window & people watch as you do. Young chap in there with a totally out of control little girl (very young) who was running around like a lunatic & in & out of the bar onto the busy pavement followed by the young lad (father ?) the young chap was also playing childrens music through the music system (not sure how) but it was horrendous& not appropriate for a bar. The lady was still making our cocktails & said nothing to him & if i had not already paid we would have left anyway our drinks arrived & my god what a joke 2x Whisky & orange slices £12 rubbish. Always after the event but should have demanded refund straight away but didn't & just tolerated it finished & left. This place is allowing idiots to take in rowdy out of control children in which spoils it for us adults (we are child friendly by the way) & the owners will notice the place lacking in trade. The lady behind the bar was obviously very friendly or even family towards this chap & his child but we certainly would no go in here again for either drinks,food or entertainment it would drive us mad. Very poor staff on that day & should have taken control with regard to the Autistic little girl.

This is the second time we have stopped here for lunch. We’ve only had the Tapas so far but the food has been a very good standard and the beers and wines are also excellent. It’s not a large venue, 30 people would pack it out. This means the service is quick, polite and very keen to ensure you have a good visit. Can’t recommend it enough. A perfect venue.

They didn't accept the two of us because we walked in instead of making a booking even though we sat down at a table that has just become free and didn't have the Reserved tab on it . Bad customer service and no explanation, it didn't make sense.

Had a brill night last night with a small party of girlfriends. Selection of tapas were AMAZING as was everything else. Can’t wait to go back with my other half. Normally I can find a few ‘areas of improvement’ with some places ….but not here ? Thank you guys x

Nicely decorated restaurant/bar, however the food is over priced for what you get. Tiny portions and other than the calamari everything else we tried was mediocre at best. Cocktails were nice but most definitely wouldn’t recommend the food. Unfortunately won’t be going back.
