As ever The Newsroom continues to be one of the best (if not the best) venue in Matlock. Greeted with a smile by Mark and had a great chat about some of the local beers he always has on. If you’re in the area, it’s a must visit.

Almost certainly the best pub in Matlock. Well curated cans and bottles. Some quite weird and wonderful, and reasonably priced. Very nice landlord. If I'm carping the keg list was not particularly killer but they play to their regular crowd. And there's interesting stuff in cans in the fridge. This is a great operation and deserves to do well

Great pub serving a variety of ever changing beers; a fair choice of bottled beer also; good to refresh yourself after walking up the hill to get to it!
