Really great decor and atmosphere. They have a fab selection of local beers. The staff are friendly and accommodating too, allowing us to eat our pizza from D’alessandro’s down the road (which I also highly recommend). Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.
After a massive uphill journey (I say that because I'm most unfit) it's only 6-10 mins walk from main town..I'm glad to say it was well worth the visit. Well into independent beers and this place has lots of choice and a really friendly bar tender/owner.

Almost certainly the best pub in Matlock. Well curated cans and bottles. Some quite weird and wonderful, and reasonably priced. Very nice landlord. If I'm carping the keg list was not particularly killer but they play to their regular crowd. And there's interesting stuff in cans in the fridge. This is a great operation and deserves to do well
