This is a lovely village Pub on one side with a nice restaurant on the other. We just had a snack in the bar at lunchtime. Locals very welcoming and one move tables so the four of us could have a seat. Good locals like that always mean a great pub. Beer selection was good, landlord friendly. All in all a very good experience. We will be going back for a meal soon, now we have seen their menu.

The swan is a lovely village pub. We have been for Sunday Lunch on a few occasions and honestly I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. The food is beautifully cooked, and served in good time. You know it's good when everyone's plates are empty. Oliver is always very accommodating (my apologies for the mix ups previously) and all the wait staff are always friendly and really welcoming. Genuine, helpful, wholesome place, what more could you ask for. ?Kid-friendliness: Always happy to accommodate my son ☺️

Very nice decor, friendly service and excellent food. The beetroot and goats cheese starter was delicious and the chicken supreme was wonderful. Deserts appear home-made and were super. This place deserves to succeed.

Lovely place, fantastic food and service. We had the steak and ale pie with fresh parsnips, carrots and mashed potato all of which were delicious. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. This was our first visit however we are looking forward to returning again soon.

Well what a nice surprise. Last visited here some years ago. That we hadn’t been back since was an indication of its standard. But wow! What a transformation! Oliver and his team have created and absolutely wonderful gem. The welcome, food and atmosphere was first class. We’ll be back… and soon!

I visited as part of a party of 12 for Christmas set menu. Food was amazing, beef Wellington in particular was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and super efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Swan for an all round perfect experience.

We visited this establishment with high expectations. Whilst the decor was lovely the food and price not so. I ordered a pie and my husband ordered the fish pie. My steak and ale pie was ok but the rest was rather a disappointment. For the cost I’d expect more than just a pie, the smallest scoop of mash ever, and a few hard carrots. Let’s not forget the thimble sized gravy you get. As for my husbands fish pie it had potential but the fish in the middle was stone cold. And to top its off the hidden £7 service charge. Which we didn’t know was optional at the time but they don’t like to advertise that. Small piece of advice remove the service charge and allow people to tip what they feel is the correct amount.

We travelled from Doncaster to visit my brother for New Year's Eve. We were looking for somewhere go for an early evening meal and managed to get a table mid afternoon at this lovely pub. What a find. We all went for the beef roast dinner and from the presentation to the staff serving ourselves was amazing. The meat, yorkshire puddings and roasties were all served on a platter and the array of vegetable selection just kept on coming to the table. It was a pleasure to have proper home cooked food, which is a rarity these days. Unfortunately, we had full bellies and could not manage a sweet, maybe next time we are over. Thankyou to all the staff that served us. It was a lovely few hours spent in such a warm and welcoming pub. Pity that we don't live nearer ?

Fantastic Sunday lunch- beef cooked to perfection, potatoes crispy and Yorkshires a delight. We loved the vegetables and the younger members of the party particularly appreciated a second serving of the beans. There wasn't that much (any?) room for puddings but we made a valiant effort, and weren't disappointed. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the dining room was a lovely place to sit and enjoy time with friends.

Wow wow wow - we had the most amazing New Year’s Eve meal - everything was perfect! But wouldn’t have expected anything less as every meal we have here is outstanding! From the food, the smiling helpful staff and the fantastic ambience created by Oli - thank you so much!

A super local pub - delicious food and excellent service as always. Spoilt for choice on the menu - we all had different starters and they were all great. The beef Wellington and the turkey ballotine main courses were really lovely and so tasty! Unlike other restaurants, all the accompanying vegetables were included in the price.
