OH MY! What a hidden little gem! Food was ??. Steak cut like butter and even accommodated my request for a pepper sauce. Everything was tasty and fresh. Seriously cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough! Will definitely be returning soon!

Went as a couple on a weekday night. A bit quiet as you'd probably expect but enough customers to create an ambience. Service was quick and attentive, friendly yet professional. The food was served in a timely manner, but long enough to he reassured it was cooked from fresh. Had three courses and each one was faultless. The food was fresh, well cooked and full of flavour. A bottle of wine was reasonably priced (although I bought by the glass). Would highly recommend.

Dined here in July. Both had carbonara both fighting for toilet when got home. Had dined here previously with no probs but this time was awful. Service wasn't much better more interested in his mate than to customers.

Came here tonight after wanting to try for a while and was not disappointed. We were truly blown away by the quality of food and service from start to finish. It is a rarity to find such a gem which is local. This is 100% authentic Italian food! We will be definitely returning and spreading the word. Thank you Montanaro'

What a shame. 10 of us had a lovely birthday meal. Many of us commenting how we would definitely go again. Could not fault the meal which cost us £332 at the cash only restaurant. Sadly we will not be going again due to them charging £20 to unwrap a birthday cake, put a few candles on it and bring it to the table with paper plates and a knife. We were not told of the charge when we gave them the cake and candles it just appeared on the bill. When we challenged politely the man was polite saying he was sorry we felt that way. The Same cannot be said for the woman who was extremely abrupt and rude saying it was £2 a head and asking whats your problem! The problem is they were greedy! We don’t mind paying but £20 for 2 minutes work was greedy. And we effectively served it ourselves. The sad bit is they would probably have had more than £20 in tips had they not ripped us off with so the called cake service. Obviously it has cost them our future custom and recommendations!

Was the most disgusting place I could have seen I saw plates everywhere on the establishment and even what I thought could have been a rat in the corner scuttle towards the kitchen would not recommend to anyone and I would suggest someone’s calls some sort of

Starter was Garlic mushrooms and it was just that. Bunch of boiled mushrooms chopped up in a bowl. Lots of water at the bottom. Tasted nice although there was a lot for a starter. Bruschetta looked nice and was told it tasted delicious. They hadn't got one of the few veggie options I wanted for the main but i went for the four cheese pasta. Again, very basic presentation. Just pasta in a bowl, but it was very tasty. We were told we couldn't have tap water as there was bits in it so we were sold a bottle of water but weren't told we were going to be charged five pound fifty for it! This was too over priced considering it wasn't our fault that the tap water wasn't available. The Server was very nice but at first we weren't sure if he was staff as he just had a scruffy hoodie and jeans on. It is a lovely little place that is one of Swadlincotes hidden treasures. Would recommend you give it a try. Friends had dessert which looked delicious. Lots to choose from and generous portions.Parking: A five minute walk from rink drive car park which is free to park. You can't park outside the restaurant as it's on the high street which is pedestrianised.
