Great hospitality & Service from Natalie and food was delicious.We were passing by and stopped for something to eat. We had squid as starters and Steaks as main they were cooked perfectly. Natalie was superb. She looked after us with professional and friendly approach and made sure everything was great. Highly recommended ?

Visited today for some food and to watch the football. What a transformation… the atmosphere, staff, and everything about the pub had improved ten-fold! Louise has done an amazing job !

Ice & Slice at The Kiln

Wow ! ? been looking at trying this place for so long, tonight - Valentines 6 course tasting menu, certainly did not disappoint- it was amazing! great service, beautiful place and the food was unbelievable ❤️

Birds

Always rated this shop highly until now. Placed an order Thursday, went to collect it the next day after 10.00am to find that they hadn’t put the order together, asked what I had ordered but they no longer had 1 item so substituted it with two of another and didn’t charge me any extra. Took them back to work for my colleagues to find that the doughnuts were rock hard, they were extremely cold as well, suggesting that they were the days before and had been stored overnight in the fridge. My opinion of this shop has now gone downhill and will not order from here again

Mario's pizza

Ordered myself and hubby food but accidentally forgot to put my hubbys food in the basket ??‍♀️ didn’t realise this till my delivery ? the driver was amazing, I placed another order in the time it took him to get back to the shop and he came and delivered the food within 20 minutes. I give them 5 stars for this.

Always 10/10 for food and service. The food here is the best in Swad by far! And now with the website feature to order and pay by car this is one of my absolute favourite places to order from. Delivery is always prompt and polite too!

The Big Fish

Can be a very busy chip shop and as a family we have used it for years. If you ever have a problem with your food who you have to do is talk to them and they will do their best to sort the problem. The staff are very helpful and friendly

Delicious pizza , unfortunately when I ordered I forgot to ask thin crust , so we got the regular crust ,too much stodge for us , would be great when we ring through for assistant to ask which crust or thickness we would like ? Just a thought for this to be asked ☺️

FoodStop

Lucky find with this place. Awesome doner kebab served on a light, fluffy Naan bread which wasn't too heavy or filling. Meat was tasty and nicely cooked and the chili sauce had a nice kick to it without being overpowering. Definitely be back next time I'm up north!

Little Bangla

Smashed it today. Asked the guy for a Naga but not something that blows my head off. That's what I got all the taste of a Naga but mild. Wife had a chicken tikka balti and said it was best she ever had. ( She is from Brum) so high high praise indeed.

Swadlincote Snowsports Centre

Just had a couple of hours fun with the grandkids, who are nice and tired now. We had the sno-tube, toboggan and drop and they loved it. They also kindly offered both girls a taster on the ski which they loved and saw how tiring it was. Great bunch of staff who made us all feel very welcome. We will be back.

Church Gresley Fish Bar

Our favourite chippy and our favourite take away choice. Excellent price and portions are fab too :) p.s the new cheese sauce is amazing thank you:) highly recommend.

It's the 2nd night I've had this takeaway for dinner and the food was absolutely SUPERB! I loved every bit. Could not fault it in anyway, 5 STAR.Will definitely order again the next time I'm visiting the area, Thank you.

Canton Wok Chinese Takeaway

Oh wow!! Ordered from here just because my partner wanted satay sauce and our usual Chinese didn't have it. I will be using this chinese from now on, the food was absolutely amazing. Really flavourful food! And the service was great too (we did have it delivered and it was on time and hot!)

Beautiful afternoon tea for mothers day, which was a really good mixture of savoury and sweet, staff were very friendly and helpful and the setting is beautiful. Would definitely recommend

Fortune Garden

This has been our local Chinese for 8 years now. We have tried a fair few before deciding, ‘you pay for what you get’. Slightly more expensive than others but my Gosh so worth the extra few pence. The crispy shredded beef is so crisp and tastes like beef! The salt and pepper chips are amazing, curries are tasty, sweet and sour chicken never had any issues with, unlike photos. Would 100% recommend this take away. People are always keen to share bad reviews and no one ever seems to sing praises when due.

Absolutely top notch.Delicious food.Delivery dead on time.Food was still almost too hot to eat when it was delivered.Can't fault it.Absolutely coming back.5* all the way ????

Costa Coffee

This is a nice store and the staff seem friendly and efficient with your orders. There was a nice selection of cold and hot sandwiches and a nice selection of cakes. Of course there was the usual selection of coffees. The shop is ground-floor and easy access if disabled. There are other stores in the vicinity, for instance, Iceland, Morrisons, Aldi, a charity shop, pet shop, tall chimney restaurant, cinema, gym and a home bargains but that's closed for refurbishment and due to open in April. Overall a good little stop, no matter what your after. Parking g for 3 hours, if using one of the stores surrounding.

No2 Coffee House

Really friendly community cafe with a pleasant atmosphere. Nice to see doggies welcomed , had a really nice ruby hot chocolate.Unfortunately I was too late for food as they close at 2.30 on sat.

The Foresters Arms

Great little pub with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff n customers . What pubs used to be like years ago . Prices almost the same as wetherspoons with a great atmosphere and a pool table plus dartboard

Marlin fish bar

Such a great chip shop, all the food is amazing and portion sizes are very generous. In particular the chicken and donner kebabs are amazing. Everything is cooked fresh. Staff are so friendly, we have tried most of the local chip shops in Ashby, Swad and surrounding areas and nothing beats this one.! Keep up the good work and look forward to many more chip shop dinner's!

The Black Horse

Lovely proper drinkers pub, outside drinking area and a massive selection of ciders. Boon Doggle, Pedigree and Bass. Lots of Gins and the lady that served us, Dawn, was lovely. Ideal if you are stopping at Beehive Lakes campsite.

Yates Cafe

Family orientated cafe, well run by the owner Craig Yates. Lovely, well cooked food which catered to our dietary requirements. The cafe has had a spruce up since we last visited, and the modern decor looks great. Special thanks to Gemma who served us when we walked in and made sure everything was okay with our order. Would definitely visit again, won’t leave it as long next time ??

Get Stuffed

This place is my favourite place to get bacon sandwiches and has been for many years.Best food around. There is no inside seating so unless the weather is good bear in mind you will be getting take out.Staff are friendly. Service is fast. Quality is excellent and has been consistently excellent for as long as I remember.They put out tables and chairs too for when the weather's nice.
